This Buck was taken about a week ago about 3 Miles north of Murchison, Texas. (+-8 miles from my house) Free range deer also. Said to green score 209" Now can someone tell me why exactly i drive 7hours west to Hunt in hopes of getting a chance at breaking the 150 Mark??? Good Deer!!!

This is the second 200+ to come out of this area this year. The other came off the Prison Land near Tennessee Colony. Bout 25 miles away. Good year for the East Tx hunters.

Wow!  Man I grew up in Athens and my dad was an engineer for the old Lone Star Gas Company and the Opelika and Tri-Cites Field was one of his areas. I can't tell you how many times I road around with him on every dirt road off of FM 3087 and 773. That's some thick stuff out there...or at least it was in the early 70's!  Not surprised a monster like that could be found down in there.
