Your choices are Browning Maxus and benelly venci.

I have shot the vinci and it kicks like a frekking herd of mules. I have not shot the Maxus.
So I would have to go with the MAXUS banana2 banana2 banana2 banana2 banana2 banana2 banana2 banana2 banana2 banana2 banana2 banana2 banana2 banana2

if your set on the maxus or the vinci, then get the maxus, the vinci does not shoot 3.5" shells, the maxus does! You never know if you might need a 3.5" shell some day to goose hunt, wack some hogs, whatever, i like to keep my options open.

I got a woodie! Whoo Hoo

RGC, you have a PM

I have a Maxus. It has been awesome so far- goin' on a duck/goose hunt all weekend and it's supposed to rain so it'll get the "wet test" and I'll let you know from there how it does.

Wasn't born in Texas, but I got there as fast as I could.

If you like digging into stocks to clean recoil springs get the Maxus (note I didn't say Blaxxus, you can get you a Maxus in a Mossy Oak D bag camo! I mean d blind!).

The Maxus is definitely a lot softer recoil. FULLY cleaning a Vinci is almost as simple as cleaning a pump.

As far as I can tell they both kill ducks (although I haven't personally seen a Maxus kill a duck there are some reports out there from probably, mostly legitimate people that the Browning gun will do it.)

From what I've seen a Maxus with Heavy Metal just cripples ducks. At least in the hands of the guy I saw shooting it. He was 3 for 3 on cripples. I think he might have mumbled something about pass shooting ringers with an IC choke. confused2

Both guns are nice. As for price, you can get a Maxus chambered in 3" for $999.00, so it would be cheaper then the Vinci. I think the Vinci is going for $1299.99 at most stores.

The question I have is, will you be happy without the ability to shoot 3.5?

Ok folks the reason behind only these two guns is because they are the newest in the war between Browning and bennli. We all know i am Browning guy and I thought this would get a topic responce. And DAVE that gun of yours kicks like a pack of mules and you know it. up

Both great guns. Which feels best is the way to go. 3 1/2" isn't a factor to me 'cause my regular shooter is a Supernova. If the larger chamber is a must, compare SBE2 to Maxus.

I for one am in the market for a Vinci, but as an upland gun and maybe ducks. That supernova gets heavy after 9 or so hours of stomping through shinery oak. Just my $0.02.

Recoil? Meh, who cares... as John Wayne said, "get off that horse and drink your milk"

Yeah... whoever said an automatic helped with recoil was LYIN! Actually the Vinci is a full pound lighter than the SBE II and the Xtrema2, that's the biggest difference on the recoil. The Maxus is the same weight as the Vinci but being gas it hardly kicks at all.

OK, kiddo and I are both admittedly rather small. Wanted the bigger chamber so I shoot the SBEII and she shoots the Super Nova. I think you big boys can handle it. peep

Looking at adding another gun too. My son likes the Xtrema but I just loved how the Maxus felt.

I think everyone is the same and only feels recoil when they miss. I just like to not feel it so often. I have bad shoulders so that is why less recoil is a big part of my decission when it comes to guns.
