Nope, your scope and binoculars will stayed fogged up. It don't get that cold around here.

Be careful if you use a heater in the stand. We had a guy on our lease opening weekend have one catch fire/blow up when he went to light it. Burned his hands so bad that he might lose one of them....

I have mine hooked up to a 20lb tank, and I have no problems here either. Like mentioned earler, I carry a lighter to lite mine.

Be careful if you use a heater in the stand. We had a guy on our lease opening weekend have one catch fire/blow up when he went to light it. Burned his hands so bad that he might lose one of them.... What kind of heater was he using? Can you tell us what happened to try and prevent it to happening to others please? Prayers for your friend.

I'll take a roll of toilet paper and stuff it tight into a small steel coffee can. Pour rubbing alcohol into the TP until it's saturated and put the plastic lid back on. When I get to the blind, I pull off the plastic lid and light the alcohol. It makes a nice odorless flame for a couple of hours. To put the flame out, just quickly put the plastic lid back on. not trying to be a smart azz but wouldnt the plastic lid melt The lid gets a little soft right after you put it on but it cools down pretty quick.

I do. I use a Mr. Buddy heater. It is quiet and performs well. I have had no problems with it effecting my hunts

I have a Coleman Blackcat Catalytic heater in my 4x6, Have to turn it down. Works really well.

been thinking about putting an a/c unit in my stand
wish it would get cold enough for my heater, it doesnt bother my deer either

I use a small propane heater every time it gets cold. Make sure you don't get the heater to close to you in the stand and adjust the heater and windows to your comfort levels. Works great and does not bother the deer at all. I have had deer within three feet of my stand and they did not notice. In a stand, the smaller the heater, the better. Enjoy the warmth.

They work great never seems to bother the deer just make sure u open a window

Now I assume you are using the heaters in a wooden or steel box stand and not a fabric ground blind. Is it safe to use a heater (flame heating device)in a fabric ground blind?
My daughters would go hunting more if the blind was heated.

My Lord I wished I'da had SOMETHING this morning. I got so cold I was shaking violently. The windows in my blind sounded like a rat-l-trap!

Ive used them in pop up blinds before. Run it on low and keep it from the sides. I always thought about where it was.
