X2 in Nolan County

Saw alot of bucks out moving, but not really chasing does yet. Response to rattling was 50-50. Most does we saw still hadnt broken away from their family groups and presumably were not in esturs as bucks at feeders were not interested in them in the least. We did see a couple of younger bucks tailing single does but not pushing them hard. One of the 8 pt bucks we shot came grunting by the stand just at sun up - looking for a doe that must have passed by before we got in the stand.

Rut ought to ramp up in the next 6-10 days.
