Sorry for the loss but just ask yourself what would Johnny want you to do this weekend and do it for you and him.

Sorry for your loss - do your best to honor his memory and hunt for the both of you from now on.

There's been a long line of hunters gone before me. My dad, several uncles, a couple of cousins that I was real close to, numerous close friends. I miss them all and always think about them this time of year. Someday soon it will be my turn to go. I hope there's someone who will think of me when Fall hits the air.

Took Johnny to Davey Crockett with me a couple of years ago. He went in the tent to go to sleep,I sat by the fire baby-sitting a bottle of bourbon. I decided I would load the camera for tomm. and get things ready. Johnny decided to come out to take a leak and prod th fire in his skivies. There went the first picture of that roll. Have to find that picture. The man was relentless about splitting wood. If he saw me pick up the ax,he would run me down to get it and split enough wood for a week. And yes, "all bullsh*t aside" ,he was a hell of a guy to have around camp !Had to call his phone again just to hear his voicemail one more time." This is Hoedebeck Construction,Your' call is very important to me." I will miss him very much.

Sorry for the loss, but as mentioed above, celebrate his life! I lost my dad in 04 and deer camp hasn't been the same. But when I do get lucky and shoot something, I look up, thank God for the experience I just had and smile knowing Pops is up there watching it all and he's stillthere with me!

My Papaw passed away about 4 years ago and other than memories all I have left to remember him material wise is his driver license....I take it out every morning, give his pic a kiss and ask him to watch over me and help me through my day as we hunt. Some people may think it's crazy or rediculous, but it's something I do in his memory. God Bless!!!
