Now I did learn a huge lesson this weekend, I took that Browning Cynergy that I bought off Judd, out with me to hunt the last morning, I ran the remington heavy shots down the tube and I swear I couldnt hit the broad side of a barn with that thing, I went back and grabbed the Extrema and did hit one or two but were not killing the way I like at 30 yards, right in the middle I pulled some BC's out and killed 3 out of the next group.
KevinT Your problem/sollution was velocity. You are/were used to the BC's velocity and switched to the Heavy shot which was quit a bit slower. This changes the lead required to center your target. It is VERY hard to shoot two different velocity shells, at the same time, and consistantly hit with both. Learned this the hard way myself. I have the same problem switching from lead target loads to 1600 fps steel shells. I normally dove hunt with fast steel to get "back in the groove" before duck/goose season starts.

Just wait till they make black cloud in a dove load, next thing ya know everybody will be sayin that Winchester AAs ain't no good and Remington heavy dove ain't no good either, when we've been killing birds all along with them. I sure am glad I'm not a sucker for marketing. Cheap shells work just fine. I have plenty of pictures to prove it. I've never once missed a bird and thought to myself...gah lee I wish I would of bought black cloud shells. Winchesters and Kents hold strong, Federal and Phil Robertson takes your money.

Now that is for sure not absolute proof, but I had banged about a 1/2 a box of those hevi shots in that crooked barrel Cynergy(which I have been shooting a lot of) when I switched guns it got a little better but when I switched shells it got a lot better.
Kevin It had to be the shells.........I saw Judd shooting that gun before he sold it to you and most, if not all, of the "misses" should already be gone.

OUCH That is FUNNY!!! Selling a gun you can't hit anything with, regardless of how good it looks or feels, is the best option. You are better off with what you have now.

You are right on REDGUN, I feel silly now, that is why when I switched back to the extrema with the more open choke I was at least winging them, then when I switched back to the BC's I was hitting like there was no tomorrow, lets just say I helped some guys finish out a few limits...at their request of course.

I had heard all the Judd couldnt hit anything with that gun stories, so I borrowed it for one of my first rounds of skeet that I had ever shot, I bought it the next day. I for whatever reason have always been one of those guys that when someone tells me it cant be done Im going to figure out a way to do it, but I admit I was ready to sell it last weekend.

KT...one thing I will tell you is don't shoot the BC thru those ext chokes that was part of the deal. It sucks...use one of the tubes you bought. That is what started the whole I can't hit crap with this gun. TDK will never let me live that day down and nor should he. I was glad he had seen me shoot before because I shot like Bobo that day

I very well may have been shooting those chokes the day before when we were killing pheasants....I dont remember missing LOL
Kidding, really I do remember missing 4 pheasants at less than 30 yards that would have been a easy shot with a BB gun, wasnt with BC though it was with heavy shot. That really was the whole reason I took that gun out Sunday morning, I couldnt believe I was missing with it so badly.

Buy Kent, save some money For the record I bought a flat a couple months ago so I would have plenty of shells for the the upcoming season in addition to the odds and ins I have now. What I got was Kent Fast Steel. My argument was never that you will bag more birds with BC vs another cheaper shell.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

What I got was Kent Fast Steel. My argument was never that you will bag more birds with BC vs another cheaper shell. I have had a redfish or two get off the line but you aint getting off that easy. BS button has been pressed. I don't make a hoot what shell the pellets are coming out of. It makes no difference with the cup. When they leave the barrel each and every pellet is on its own and there are no more contributing factors to each of the pellets. Somebody asked in a previous post asked where is WALs proof. I already posted it in the first post I made "Weight and speed of the pellet". After the pellets leave the barrel the only factor that has any effect on the pellets is a drag factor as they go through the air. So certainly your next statement is the super futuristic shotcup magically stays with the pellets after the entire configuration leaves the barrel. Please come back on here and tell me you are spending a $1.00 a shot for that horse poop. If anything will help in a pattern is stopping the wad as soon as it leaves the barrel thus letting the pellets fly free without restriction. So if it makes you happy and you have to compare things side by side, lets do it. Your best pattern percentage against mine. Lets end this years debate with a fun contest. Your black clouds against my walmart Remingtons. The best percentage has braggin rights here and the other can never get in on a Black Cloud conversation again on this forum. It does not have to be gun to gun. Lets say 3 inch #4 pellet whatever speed each chooses. To make it fair I'll let you choose the distance. What say you?

I offered it to Mark because we hunt together. How do you propose we are going to do this with you in Plano. I am near Houston. Don't get me wrong I would love to get this on right now and end this junk science black cloud horse crap.
