Guess it depends on which gun and what I am using it for. Most of my rifles have either Leupold or Nikon. My go to deer rifles have 4.5-14x50 30mm tube on them. My critter getter has 6.5-20x44 on it. All others have 3-9.

Nikon monarch 4-12x42 on .25-06 And Swaro Z5 5-25x52 on .280 rem How about the swaro 5-25? Does it really help judge deer far away?

I'm trying out the Vortex Diamondback 3.5-10X50 this year on a Remington 700 .308
I had good success with my Leupold Rifleman 3-9X50 on a Savage 110 7mm rem mag for the last 3 seasons.

Chafro- I just bought the gun/swaro scope combo this past off season. Ive shot it and played in the woods using the scope. It is crystal clear and great in low light. Im sure you can use it to spot no problem if you wanted to.

It depends on the rifle but I have a Swaro 3X12X50; Ziess Conquests that run from 3X9X50 to 4.5X14X50 and then I also have a Kahles in 4X12X50. I think the Kahles is probably the best although it would be tough to tell the difference.

Yes I was thinking of the swaro 5-25 and forgetting the spotting scope, I already carry to many things!!!
Has anyone tried this?
I have good binos, but 10X can't judge deer well at 300+ yards.

I have good binos, but 10X can't judge deer well at 300+ yards. I have looked thru a Swaro 3-18 and if the 5-25 is anything like it I would say it would fit the bill. They are great optics. I use my Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20 on my .270 for the same reason that you are wanting to.

There a tad heavy, but I hunt from a box blind so doesn't much matter to me.

I know is hard to tell but what will be your guess on the distance you are able to judge B&C score a deer with your scope? Swaro or zeiss? Judging the two you saw? Thanks
