I see most of you said twice a day morning and evening, how many of you use a photocell timer? I went to all photocell timers cause I never feed mid day and they are cheaper. ive had too many problems with them to go back to them. the extra cost of the digital is worth the peice of mind. You know I hear people say this but I have not had this problem. Actually replaced one this year that was atleast 10 years old, and only because ants made a nest in it and ate the wires.

My only problem with the photocell times is that it goes off too late in the evening. All the ones I ever had went off about 30-45 minutes before dark at prime hunting time and scared any deer off that were there.

Right now they feed for 4 seconds 2 times a day. I'll bump them up to feed a little more about a week before season.

Dry as it is getting in West Texas right now,the deer are hitting the feeders real good. Mine spin 2x a day. each 7 seconds at high speed. I want them to hear the feeders running and find corn on the ground. When the season opens, they will go up 2 more seconds. I really think corn is my cheapest part of deer hunting.....................
My son says my expections are way too high.........

Man yall spin them feeders for a long time. I typically throw harder rather then longer and the West Texas deer still typically leave some on the ground at the end of each feed. Off season will spin it for 2 seconds to keep the sound and time up, then during the season I will throw for 4 seconds on high two times a day and 2 seconds early in the AM. 6:30a 7:00a 5:00p

Right now
7AM and 5PM 7 seconds Medium setting
It throws out a good amount of corn but not too much. During the season i'll lower the unit so it throws out a little more with the same settings.

I just increased mine to 4-5 seconds all year long they have been at 2 seconds. Keep in mind it is like candy and I want it gone quickly so that they realize that they need to be there when it goes off. Like Aces I would prefer to feed a liitle corn more often making as much noise as possible. The idea is that when momma yelled "SOUPS ON" them that came late did without.

If there is a little corn left when they are done then your good. A little tip.....hand scatter corn around the area it WILL get more bucks coming to it later.I dont know why but it works.

Year round feeder 1. 7am, 6am noon & 4pm at 3seconds, 2 seconds, 1 second & 4 seconds . Spring& Summer it's 1 second at those times. I never switch the clock for DST so it's 6am, 7am, 11am &3pm.
Year round feeder 2. 7&8am and 4&5pm same durations as feeder 1.
