Pigeon = feathered clay for practice

My season lease is near a cement plant..... there are 10x as many pigeons fly by than doves. Plus after the first week, they can really shuck and jive

whats the difference shooting pheasant from a tower or a deer under your feeder, both are not hunting, just shooting to fill up your freezer.

we used to stand at both sides of a dairy barn while the farmers dog ran up into the loft and scared out dozens of them Pigeons. White ones, gray ones, all kinds! My Dad and I would shoot like crazy while they were pouring out of the eaves, then wait around for 'em to come back. If they landed on the roof we had a .22 ready for action! Pigeons do some damage to a dairy operation... I've eaten them, and they ain't bad with enough artificial flavoring.

Wasn't born in Texas, but I got there as fast as I could.

How do you know its a racing pigeon, does it have flames painted along its breast?

Does it have a super charger mounted in its butt?

A pigeon tastes just like a dove, but you get twice as much meat. I would consider myself lucky if I shot a racing pigeon. It would be in better shape than a standard bridge pigeon, so you wouldn't have to worry about it's fat dripping down and starting a grease fire in your charcoal grill.

I prefer a .177 cal pellet taking skillet shots at them inside warehouses while riding around w/ a spotlight on a golfcart. Not sayin' I would be unsportsman like and do such a thing though. whistle

Is that supposed to be a bad thing. Just wondering, cause it is alot better to be a Redneck than a non gun totin City Slicker. And no I'm not calling you a City Slicker. Just saying.

For thems that say they don't like eating rafter rats, you couldn't tell the difference twix them and a dove. Soal them in italian dressing wrap in bacon/peppers and grill over an angry bed of mesquite coals. Top shelf right there!
