I finally got my Monster set up (purchased from another THF member).
I have been shooting my Black Ice for three years now, and loved it - still do....
I set up sites, stabilizer etc (thanks All Star Archery), and went to sighting it in..... THIS BOW IS CRAZY FAST......
It was blowing through ALL my targets. At 30 yards, I am still shooting dead on with the top pin......
All I can say is WOW.... This thing scared me it was so fast.....

Mathews is the best. I used to shoot Diamond and I'll never go back.

After years of owning shooting PSE( about 6 different ones),a Browning a Pearson,a Bear,a Martin(not going to mention all my longbows and recurves)...I finally got a Matthews DXT last year. And I shot it maybe 6 times and a smile creeped across my face. My buddies said whats up? Nice shooter aint it? I said..yep I finally now know what they meant by hand shock. It was completely(felt) absent from the Matthews as compared to all the others I had owned and shot.
not saying I wouldn't own a Hoyt or a Bowtech or a another PSE ora........but the Matthews definitely backs it brag! And the company has good foundation in personal beliefs to boot, and for me since I'm dropping near side of 1k I I like to know that too!

I used the old chronograph yesterday on my Z7. I have a 27.5 inch draw, and my bow is at 60 LBS. It shot 280 and I don't think thats too bad.

Killed my first two deer with a bow at 14. My bow was an old Tiger Martin, then I went to a Point Blank Ltd. Started gun hunting and got away from it for many years after selling the Point Blank. Buddy of mine let me shoot his monster last year. I was hooked again. He bought a Z7 this year and I bought his monster. Have not shot another bow, but can't imagine one being any better.

RangerRick- Have you owned or shot a bowtech? Dan No I haven't but if something happened to my Matthews DXT and my Buddy who can get Matthews bows for me at discount Id have to consider others. If able Id certainly consider a Bowtech, say a Destroyer 340 or if not then maybe a Hoyt Alphamax32 and odwn the line possible other companies depending on what is in stock at pro shop etc. Seems to me like in last 3 or 4 years that the heat/competition has really been turned up and a good handful of companies are making great bows(not just good bows). I just finally got one of them and able to see that the money was worth it.

I took my bowtech 82nd in tuesday night and its shooting 315 fps. Set at 60 lbs and 29.5 in draw length i think. I could increase my lbs up to 70 and get lighter arrows if I want to (im shooting heavy arrows for knock down power) and I would be shooting even faster. I dont think thats to bad.

I don't understand why people get a huge kick about 1 uping and criticizing Mathews Well he has 2 inches more draw and 10 more pounds too. Id hope he is getting another 35 fps. But hey its all good int it? Remember when folks I hung out with at the ranges, early 90s,didn't thing we could stabilize and arrow past 300 fps? I can recall when PSE came out with the Brute force my buddy had to get it, 242 fps with a overdraw(who use those anymore?) and folks were like wow!!! That was fast...still is fast over 80 yds a second...just we got even faster now is all. Pretty handy for the 1 pin shooters that's for sure!
