I didn't see where chaos said anything about the rut at it's peak. Only that he saw some activity last weekend. I made the same comment in a thread last week and got booed and laughed at by some. Like him I am in the country every day and see these same things happen. We are not saying the full rut is in progress only that some does do come in earlier than others. I agree totally that most years our heavy rut happens in Mills county around the 17th of Nov. I also see a few fawns born Mid March and some as late as early June some years.
