The outhouse? Heard some good and some bad. Anybody use them, any problems, Did you get your work done on time "Right"? Saw another Lonestar, nothing in it really.

Don't like them. Last year I went and got my Mathews restrung, First I was lied to and told they couldn't get to it till Monday, and I told them I'd take it somewhere else so they asked me to leave it while I was in Waco because they might could fit it in. (none of this was done without griping and complaining from the bow-techs) They called me an hour later and said it was ready, and had their noses in the air when I got there. I'd much rather go to Kerens to Redneck Booda, Much better customer service.

Went there today.... RUDE VERY RUDE. Some man I spoke with just could not stop smoking long enough even to dump his ash. Was told it would take till next Thursday The 3rd of SEPTEMBER to put a cable and string on a single cam Mathews Bow.. So I bought them off there wall for $52 to do it at home and this dude spent more time telling me how bad I could mess up the timeing and cam rotation, nock set, peep set, than it would take to get off his rear from behind the counter and put them on. Smelled bad like an ash tray in there too. Still can't think why it would take 11 days to restring a bow if you got the strings and cables. Lazy I guess.

I have been going to the Outhouse for the last 20+ years an have had nothing but GOOD. I have bought 3 bows from them 3 differant brands an I took my Mathews back for a new cables an string dropped of on a Friday an picked it up on Monday. Bought a new drop away rest in which they installed it. Got it home an thinking I had to adjust the sights or something But no it is dead on. I am please with the OUTHOUSE and would an do recommend them.

I have had nothing but good dealings with the out house. I would recomend avoiding peacock archery in belton. I know he has been there forever and alot of people are faithful to him, BUT every time I have been there the service is bad, very rude, and the store itself has very little to offer! PLUS, i shoot bowtech and he wont touch my bow bc he only deals with PSE. I watched the owner tear apart a guy who brought in a new recurve bow and was new to the sport and wanted to learn some things. He destroyed that guy in front of the whole store! We use the place in georgetown, the name has escaped me but they are very knowledgable, kind, and will spend whatever time it takes to make you happy.

Last year the wife and I needed new arrows for our bows. We both prefer "fleather" arrows and felt chastized for still shooting them instead of turbo vains! After listening to some woman make every excuse possible why they could not custom make our arrows. We decided we would take our buisness elsewhere and started to walk out the door. Before we could leave this old man "the smoking one refered to from above" yells out "I can do it". Well..furthermore they had to order our arrows which were Carbon Express 400's which they got pissy about. I got my arrows from them but they messed up the colors(not a huge deal). I will not go back there again! They seemed to "put out"!!!
I was pleased to learn of the bow shop in Kerens! How do I find them?

Double G in Gtown is the shop of my choice. I would not pee on the Outhouse if it were on fire. I have been in there a couple of times amd they were rude
I avoid Dick's and hope they fold.

I tried custom archery works again last week, they're the new shop in waco just down from the outhouse. The owner is very friendly and knowledgable They are a bit smaller than the outhouse but have an excellent assortment of newer product(compared to the outhouse) and an indoor range. I believe they are a hoyt dealer as well but they had alot of new and used bows in there. I went in there last year right when the first opened as was a little disapointed in the inventory but the guy told me they had not stocked up yet, their a great shop now.
Heres my two two cents about the outhouse, I've done business with them for over a decade but I do not recommend them to a young or novice archer just getting into the sport. I was treated rudely as a youngster many years ago on a few occasions, and as were my friends. If your a more seasoned archer as I am now, they seem to treat you with more respect. I think they are a good shop and have made customer service improvement the last 5 years and I have had no issues with them in quite a long while.

On Target Archery in Canton, TX is where I go. Mathews certified bow technicians, friendly staff and the guys working on the bows actually bow hunt. They will talk to you about hunting, choices and what has worked for them. If you are close to Canton, I recommend this shop, you won't be disappointed.

I have to say I find your posts very interesting and possibly false all together. #1 No one has smoked in the "Out" House in over two years...so the guy you who was smoking could not have been doing so because it's not allowed. #2 You spoke of Lonestar Archery...which has been closed for quite a while...possibly a year in relationship to archery. I wonder what exactly your motive is..... Something's not right with most everything you have said on this board!!!!

Double G in Gtown is the shop of my choice. I have to give a thumbs up to Double G. Called them on the phone to see how to get there, and while it was some what of a drive from where I work in Austin, the guy on the phone said, if I was coming over, he keep open late. I needed knocks for some arrows. Not a major sale by any means, but I was impressed he'd keep his shop open until I got there.

Looks like the outhouse will be the lone bow shop in waco once again, my brother just informed me custom archery works is closing its doors, might go check them out and see if they put everything on clearance, good time to stock up maybe.
