Hi I have 4 spots available at this time,for a 3- day Trophy buck hunt, in Aspermont Texas, about 70 miles north of Abilene,TX. The hunt is scheduled for the 19,20,and 21st of November, Parks and wildlife pegs the rut in this area as NOV 20th. So you can see this is a great time to hunt here.Lodging is in Aspermont TX,at one of the 2 motels available there,The cost is usually around 45.00 per night,That will be your responsibility, I will help you with phone# ect. This is my personal ranch, I am no big time outfitter,I have a few hunts a year on this ranch,And the buck hunts are Mature 8point or better bucks ONLY. The money I make on these hunts goes to buy corn, and upkeep on the feeders ect. All hunting is done from blinds,(NO WALK HUNTING)I take you to your stand an hour before daylight, and pick you up around 10 am,we break for lunch, and take care of any game harvested.Then we head back out around 2 pm, then I pick you up after dark.I have 5 feeders that go off 2 times a day, and in addition to that I corn the roads in spots that you will have a good shot.All shots are around 100 yds to 300 yds. I really stress the point of only harvesting mature bucks,We let the small 3-1/2 year olds live. Last year was a great year for the deer, I had really good hunters that showed alot of restraint and let alot of 3 and 4 year olds walk.This should be a great year for a mature buck,we have had alot of rain which is great for the antlers.
Bag limit is 1-MATURE 8 POINT OR BETTER BUCK
1-DOE
1- TURKEY (GOBBLER OR HEN)
ALL THE HOGS YOU SEE
COYOTES AND BOBCATS.
I have been on alot of hunts in this state,and paid alot more money than what I charge, for a lot less.I try to do things right,to give the hunter the best possible chance at a trophy buck that he will be proud of. We have harvested bucks on this ranch that have scored as high as 162BC. I have NO HIDDEN FEES,If you kill a 160BC buck, well thats great,I want you to come back year after year. I have a list of guys that want to hunt here, that have hunted with me before, but do to the fact that they wouldnt no a mature buck if it knocked on the door,they are not coming back,They either shot small bucks on day one,or either had the attitude that because they paid me to hunt that they were owners of the property and didnt care about any rules.If you come on this hunt,and you are happy, you will have the option to rebook for the same date next year,The guys that hunt with me on opening weekend, are all return hunters that have hunted with me in the past,they have that spot sowed up, until they either cant make the trip or move on. At that point if you are a hunter in the rut slot, and wish to move to the opener,and have shown to be a good hunter, then you will have the option of filling that spot.
