Mine is my Stoeger Condor .12 ga. Bought it new for the grand total of $350.00. Shoots nicely and I've had zero issues with it.
Reason I'm asking....my nephew has his sights set on a Browning Citori. Fine, fine shotgun for sure, but they do come with a matching price tag.
I couldn't bring myself to spend that much on an O/U
Soooo, am I the only cheapskate here? Or do some of ya'all have one's in the $300.00 - $600.00 range that you wouldn't trade off for the world.

For a cheaper O/U Yildz is hard to beat.
The only think i don't like is 28 barrel only

I have a cheaper used Weatherby Orion I paid $600. Just like you Janie, never had any problems dispite the thousands of rounds i've put through.
No sure of the the Stoeger, but one thing to note of difference between the Yildiz (which I have shot and like alot) and the Citori is the trigger. Most of the higher end OU have interia driven triggers. They are suppose to faster responding and allows for crisper trigger feel and pull.
I don't think you "need" a nicer OU, but I certainly want one. Shotguns, to me, are definitely worth paying extra for get nice wood and a well finished gun. Which that is essentially what you are paying for; like a Browning or Beretta. I hope to one day get a Grade 3 Beretta 687. Once again, don't need it but really want it.
I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

Prefer a Belgian Superposed Browning but carry my Win.101 Pigeon 20 ga for o/u.Most time carry a sxs mdl 21 skeet 20 ga,but have an assortment of Mdl 21's for various reasons.

I have the Browning Citori in a 20ga, 28" barrels. Smooth shooter and I love it because it fits like a comfortable pair of boots. Gander Mtn had them for $1249.00 several years ago, so I took the plunge. Friend of mine from St Louis has a Condor and put lots of 12ga target loads thru it, shooting S/C, Skeet & Trap. It is very faithful to him with no problems.

I have been looking at the Yildiz S/S...Decisions, Decisions.. Don't need another 20ga but just won't let go of the money for a Browning 28ga to match my 20. Ruger 28ga O/U is a very nice gun too.

I horse traded my way into a Citori, had a remington 11-87 for a long while before it. Haven't got to shoot it but just holding it I know I'll have it for years to come.

Shot a Kolar skeet model once and loved it. But that gun would never see the woods, not at $10,000 and 9lbs...
For hunting I would love a nice Rizzini round body.
Citoris can be had used for less than $1,000, which is dirt cheap for a O/U.

A citori is my dream gun. I'm a few years from owning one, though.

Who made the Smith&Wesson Heirloom? That was a good looking shotgun.

If your talking about the gun I posted it is a Caeser Guerini, or as Judd likes to call them; overpriced Rizzini's. Make sure you tell him that next time you see him.
Smith&Wesson and Guerini shouldnt be grouped together... I think that Guerini runs in excess of $5,500.

I will tell Judd next time we shoot together. I didn't group anything together. I was asking about the Smith&Wesson Heirloom b/c I saw one once and it was a really nice shotgun. It came with a warranty certificate for your life and the life of who you passed it down to...hence the name. I was just curious who made it.
