Dude, I can tell that you're in love with your new boat, that's cool.

Just because I haven't driven a mudboat doesn't mean that I don't understand the purpose of the boat, what it's designed to do, and what it's limitations are.

I'm sure you test drove your new PD, and may have taken it out once since Sunday. That puts your knowledge at an expert level of two trips.

I missed the part that his friend already had a outboard boat. My point is that if you're gonna do anything other than duck hunt in super shallow water, you want an outboard.

I'm also not comparing my boat to yours, I had a OMC Roughneck with a 25 hp. that I liked just as much as my current rig.

I think mudboats are cool, I'd like to have one and I'm looking forward to riding in yours. up

I'm not claiming to be an expert.

How convenient that the PD is a tiller, you two can hold hands as your plowing thru the mud.

Easy there cowboy...I haven't posted anything on here about his businesses website. Speaking of which how is the ride across Texhoma on your knees in a War Eagle? rofl

Yeah, you already back from shooting it? I'm stuck on a call this afternoon. Can you tell it is real productive? grin

Yes. It shoots better. Crushes when it hits em. But I have to relearn how to shoot it now that is closer to right, he said shoot it about two weeks then come back and see if it needs more adjustments.

I'd invite myself along to make sure those two aren't doing anything unnatural in that boat but I've moved myself too far south for duck boat man enforcement duty.

I had a long tail and recomend a surface drive. Granted there are some benefits to the long tail but you literally will be exhausted after the hunt trying to get around with that thing. I say get a surface drive.
P.S.

If there were more than two people involved, it could be called an elephant walk.

Back on topic:

Get a mudboat. You will definitely kill your limit every hunt, plus you will look like a pro at the boat ramp. bolt

funny a few years ago when the lakes were a little low we were the 3rd boat launching one morning. guy with some kind of surface drive was in front of us we BSed for a few seconds. We were in an old Lowe with a 25 merc. I said you been hunting here all season? he says Yep. So i say "been many people hunting _______ creek?"

Dude looks at me and says "if you can beat me to _______ In that you can have it" So I say "Okay" and chuckle.

Well i still dont know if that guy know it was us that flashed him off. But lets just say if you know your way around a lake it makes it a whole lot easier to get to places there is always more than one way to skin a cat.

if moose had a surface drive i think he would adapt that additude real quick. He already thinks he is DC in a war eagle.

Yeah, they are cool.

If I had the money or a place to park it, I'd love to have one.

Good thing my neighbor just got one. If he doesn't hate me, I'll probably get to ride in his.
