texas

I need some honest opinions from my fellow Texans. It doesn't matter if you hunt with a rifle, bow, shotgun, or pointy stick. I would greatly appreciate all of your comments on these new camo patterns, good and bad. If you have already commented on the Texas pattern, I would still appreciate your thoughts on the other two. Thanks! smile

Each pattern is designed for a generalized part of the U.S. during the fall/winter. It is designed to be viewed from the animals perspective from 20 yards away.

Woodlands: Midwest and Southeast pattern

Mountain Top: Mountain Region pattern

Brush Country: Southwest brush/desert pattern

For instance:
-What do you like or dislike about the pattern?

-What do you wish it had or didn't have?

-Is there any particular feature of a camo shirt/pants that make them a must buy or deal breaker?

-Would you buy them if you saw them sitting on the shelf?

Thanks in advance fellas. popcorn

1) Woodlands (fall/winter Midwest and Southeast pattern)

2) Mountain Top (fall/winter Mountain Region pattern)

3) Brush Country (fall/winter Southwest brush/desert pattern)

I like em.

I think the woodlands pattern could use some pine trees/needles. That would be very beneficial to east texas hunters.

I would also like to see some sage brush/yucca in the "brush country" pattern.

I wouldn't buy any of them. I don't hunt the S Tx area or the moutain region. And the woodlands just doesn't match my hunting ground. The best camo pattern I've seen by far that really blends you in, is Predator. The new Mossy Oak Treestand is a close 2nd!!!
For me any way!!! And that covers E Tx and S Central Ks!!

What would you change sqiggy? We want the design to reflect the input we receive from hunters. The end result of these patterns will come from yall.

I hunt SW Texas and if you added some cactus and yuca (sotol) to the brush country I would be changing the camo I wear now. I looks sweet and would be awesome with a couple of minor changes.

Tend to agree with this, I commented a couple of days ago on the SW pattern and mentioned sagebrush. Sotol is a darn good suggestion and I'm not sure if it would be good to try and do prickley pear or not. If done it would probably need to be subdued with some browns and yellows in it and not some garish green pad. Sotol, prickley pear, and sagebrush would cover quite a bit of area out here. But, then just north of me you would probably want to throw in some cedar and dang near on anything mesquite (with the right colors) would be good. Green for mesquite is mostly a spring and summer color, fall and winter would be more of a tan or yellowish brown. jmo

I would like to see the patterns in the field before I make any judgement.

I agree. Its a tough call without seeing it on clothing.
