Black Gold. The best sight out there in my opinion. Since you live in Hico, I could meet you and let you try my old one out. You like it, I might sell it to you. It's in the same category as Spot Hogg, but with better advancements

best sight in my opinion is toxonics, alot of the people i shoot with thats all they use on there comp bows. But it also depends on what you are wanting to do as far as 3D shooting or outdoor comp shooting or hunting.if you are just hunting then go with the 5 pin truglo they are about 90 dollars and they have a fiber optics light for night shooting pigs

You can pick up a Truglo five pin with a light on Ebay for about 40 bucks. I bought one last week for my son's bow.

Also, be sure to scan the classifieds for a used sight. Or any of the bows listed you might offer X amount for just the sight off the bow (if the seller is willing) ac

Black Gold is value. The 3rd axis adjustment one of mine cost $135 at Gander Mtn. Thats also a 5 pin sight. Black Gold also has an unconditional transferable lifetime warranty. I could sell him my other Black Gold for $60 and it's a 5 pin, it's just not micro-adjustable.

I won't put anything on my bows but a Spot Hogg. There is a reason people compare their sight to a Spot Hogg. It's the best.
I've got a Hunter Hogg-It that has now been on 4 different bows. To me it is worth twice what I paid for it. I just put a Boss Hogg on my newest bow. Still getting used to an adjustable pin sight but so far so good.

Sights are like bows and arrow rest, everyone has a favorite. Some buy what they can afford, while others buy what they want. They all basically do the same thing; just some are build better and less hassle to use. I really try to avoid recommending a particular brand, for the reason it may offend someone.

Not arguing, but the thing I think thats bull crap about Spot Hoggs is that you have to buy a $50 wrap, and that's just dumb. And to who asked about the Black Gold compared to the Toxonics, to me and a lot of other people out there, they have the best pin lighting system. They will never halo, and gather the most light in low light situations. Now, you will probably need one in a blind, but other than that, there is never a light needed. Just go to this website. Check them out for your self and read what they say on the website. http://www.blackgoldsights.com/

That's why I don t recommend brands.. Now I do field test new products and I will report my finding on various sites, live hunt, hunting net, archery talk, Texas bow hunter and so on. I will not recommend brands. I did get into a mess with Matt from Atom's Broadheads, but I calls em like I sees em, Matt didn't like what I posted about his broad heads, even after I had to go out and buy them!!!! Yep you see a Bowtech Avitar in my signature, but I'm sponsored by a Bowtech Dealer... I own other brands too.. I love my Fred Bear SQ32, and shot CSS in competition for years.

I just bought a Trophy Ridge Alpha Micro V3. $108 shipped. To me, it's seems to be a good value for the money. Check it out.

You can pick up a Truglo five pin with a light on Ebay for about 40 bucks. I bought one last week for my son's bow. only $35 at Cabelas. That's all I'm running on my cheapy PSE but it certainly gets the job done and has the light.

I was jk btw. Oh, I didn't compare it to Spot-Hogg either. I did say spot-hogg because everyone knows who they are, but then I said Black Gold was better than SH in my opinion. If more people knew about them, black gold would be the top of the line sight. And I'm serious qualhunter, take a look at them, the redzone to be specific, and see if you don't want one. The shop can completely custom make one for you with up to 7 pins, and they have the best pin technology out there. Black Gold is literally taking sights to a new level.
Disclaimer: SH does make an awesome sight as well.
PS If you like Spot Hogg, but dont want to spend the money, and want a sight that is like a SH, get you a BG.

Three pins set at 20,30,40 will work. Even most of us have five pins but hardly ever use for hunting.

My Alien X is wearing a Truglo Range rover http://www.cabelas.com/p-0039116417569a.shtmlit gives me the ability to shoot RELIABLY from 10 to 100 yards. I can consistently make good groups at 60, just adjust the pin, and aim on point. Also, there's no field of view clutter, and the single pin lights up NICE>

The reason I wish I had seven pins is when practicing out to 80 yards and you come back to 20, you couldn't place the arrow any better in the bullseye with your hand.
