You don't need to have any pins further than 40 yds. for hunting. If your gonna be doing 3D then you can go further. 20,30,40 is perfect for hunting.

The shop can completely custom make one for you with up to 7 pins, and they have the best pin technology out there. Black Gold is literally taking sights to a new level.
Disclaimer: SH does make an awesome sight as well. They (BG) are making me one with 9 pins .010 diameter. SP is good too, but they told me they couldn't make one with 9 pins, so I went to BG. They said no problem. It's gonna be a bad mutha

Why in the heck would you use nine pins? Not trying to be a smart @ss, but with my spot hog five pins is all I need for hunting. I sure don't need a pin set at five yards apart.
I do use a HTM sight with a .10 pin for 3D but it's a scope that I dial in.

IDK how you will even be able to see you target. BUT, if it works out good for you, then, good for you!

I set my pins at 10 yard increments. If the monster I'm getting shoots fast enough (which I think it will) my first pin will be out to 30 and last at 110. I know ideal hunting is close, but I like to practice way out there. I don't even wanna start on how far is an ethical shot and what should be the limit, or any of that other bs lol A scope on a bow? That's cheating

thank ya'll for all the help. so how many pins do i need? should i set one for every ten yards? I have a 5 pin, but wish I had a 7 pin. And yes, every 10 yards. The reason I wish I had seven pins is when practicing out to 80 yards and you come back to 20, you couldn't place the arrow any better in the bullseye with your hand. you dont need a 7 pin sight to practice at 80yds you can use a 3 pin and use your bottom pin just learn to aim higher and compisate for the yardage
