These are a couple of pictures from summer 2008. Pigs moved in very shortly after this and never saw these deer again. Last year was a horrible year on our lease in Throckmorton. Looking for a new lease this year.

The big eight...yeah id shoot him; or if there was a new hunter or kid in camp id let them shoot him. I like big eights and try to take them during muzzle loader/archery season (oklahoma).
I think he would go 120-125"ish

I'de have to see him in person to make that call. I think he is flirting around the 130 mark.

130" 3.5y/o and prolly won't be too much more than an eight! Be a good bow kill! Now on the other hand if this was takin' two year's ago I wanna be up there this season cuz that other buck in the pic is gonna be 4.5 and pushin' 145 - 150" if he stayed healthy!

That guy would definitely go at least 130, unless the picture is deceiving.

130 EASILY. closer to 135. I had a VERY similar 8 killed last year that scored 125.5 and this buck has a tad more length and mass. If this was in 08 that was 2 years ago. Is he even still alive???? And if so he will be close to 150 this year I bet. If you know he would make it let him go, but by this year(2010) he should be primed and ready to take

With the newness of the antlers I think he's fooling some folks, honestly I think he's a great 2.5 yoa prospect, that's about 120 tops right now when they harden and dry

if he is 5.5 this coming year... how cares about it... With all the winter rain and snow should be a very good growth year. I can't age bucks in Velvet you never will be right unless you know his history.
Don't think he will break 140 in that picture. May be low to mid 130's

The velvet is deceiving. However, he is two years older, so I believe that would put him at 5.5 this coming year. So yes, would shoot this year.

I didn't read thoroughly, was "calling 'em as I saw 'em" not counting the 2-3 years of age on the camera photo... Dang, I agreed with Justin again!!!!!!11

if he is still alive man I would like to see him this year...my guesses would be someone shot him within the past 2 seasons but i dont know the area. He has some kicker potential as you can see in this pic he already had a real small kicker on his left side. post new pics if still alive

CC baseball....
you're right... I don't think I've ever seen two deer look that similar before from different areas.
I think the other poster's deer has better brow tines, and maybe an inch in spread. very close to each other though.
I think he's go low 130's, probably not over 135. I shot a 132 8 point this year that had poor tine length, but a big frame... both of those deer have mine beat in tine length, especially on the G3's

IF THE BUCK IS LEGAL AND GETS YOU EXCITED, SHOOT HIM. HE IS A NICE BUCK 130+-. THERE IS NO WAY TO TELL IF A DEER/BUCK IS 2.5 OR 3.5 ON THE HOOF ACCORDING TO MY BIOLOGIST.

I would guess 130. Depends. If you've got neighbors like we've got you better take him. He wouldn't make it two steps on the property next to ours.

Compare him the the smaller buck in the pic that is for sure a 2.5yo. You were dead on about the prospect though unless you are really tryin' to grow monster's then this deer is ready to cull! He should be atleast sportin' 10pts by 4.5 to break that 170" mark!
