Oh yeah that should work out well for you. Last time I checked Obama was president.

Please send me your new address, I will use it the next time. Also PM your phone number. Today is Wednesday, I just looked and I have 2 pieces of mail and at least one phone call since Sunday.

Card carrying lifetime member. I can't believe 24% said "No". On a hunting forum?? Are you serious?? I'm surprised and disappointed. To me that number should be a single digit.

YES!!!!

And FYI you get free $1,000 of gun insurance, got 7 stolen and 4 recovered. The value of the 3 not recovered was $1,750 ....home owners police deductable was $1800 frown

Called NRA and they sent me paper work filled it out and they had a check to me in 9 days for $1,000

still lost $750 but thats better than $1750

every gun owner should be a NRA member.

Not sarcastic at all.

Use to be a member for a LONG time. Then it got to where if I sent them $25 they would just spend that $25 on postage to send me solicitations for more money in the mail. I aint rich as you well know and I didnt like seeing my hard earned money being wasted on solicitations for more money from me that I didnt have.

What they do for firearms owners is wonderfull! Without them there is no telling where we would be. I just figured that if they were going to spend my money on postage to get more money from me that I wasnt going to send them then it was kind of a wash to even send it in the first place.

I have learned now that you can actually opt out of the phone and mail solcitations, so I will be joining again in the near future, but you can bet if I get one phone call or mail solicitation from them again after that I will be done with them for good.

Well, I still say that we should all support the NRA. They are the #1 activist group for us as gun owning Americans. I joined the Texas State Rifle Association today. 25 bucks for the year- they are instrumental in grassroots movements where the NRA can't reach, such as Conceal Carry in Texas. I am proud to be a member of both.

I am an endowment member. Also a lifetime member of TSRA. The mailings must work or they wouldn't do them. Most people use that as an excuse but the real reason is they want someone else to pay for their part of the fight.

Well I say I still have the right to not belong. There seems to be a stream of thought that by not belonging to the NRA I dont support the right to keep and bear arms. BULLCRAP! My vote goes only to Pro life and anti gun control candidates. I dont feel the NRA represents me. It is that plain and simple.

I still have my guns, do you have yours? Obama hasn't shown up on my doorstep yet. Furthermore, if someone was ever to want to take your guns, every NRA member would be at the top of the list.

Do you have special NRA rights that are different from my 2nd amendment rights? There are plenty of other ways to show your support that shelling out money to some organization that is worse than telemarketers. I think its great that you are a NRA member, but I am not, sorry buddy.

So can I. The problem is I can't make much of a difference by myself. But I can make a huge difference when I unite with millions of other like minded individuals. I certainly don't agree with everything the NRA does or says. But overall we wouldn't have our guns today if it wasn't for the NRA.

So you must not pay income taxes either. How much of your tax money goes to fund politicians and fancy buildings.
