yes.. floor piece and seat. And it's quick to attach them to the tree, just one side of the cable is all you have to hook up and you're holding the section at the angle you want to start out at. Attach the top and shove it up the tree, then the bottom, then climb on. Most of the time spent is jacking with the safety harness and moving it up as you go up, I just leave it somewhat loose (where it'll still grab if I were to fall) around the tree until I get to my stopping point.

That will be the best bet. The reason I am more partial to climbers is b/c where I hunt, we have a lot of tall straight trees that don't have many limbs until you hit the 20-25' mark and I have to move stands as the water levels change.

it takes me a lot longer than the guy above. when its attaached the the tree already, its at least 5 or 10 mins to get to my hunting hieght (20'), then another 5 minutes to screw in my bow hangers and accessory hooks, strap the harness to the tree, sit down, settle in, then pull up my bow or gun. Total time from base of tree to ready to hunt for me is about 15 - 20mins depending on how quite I'm trying to me. But I'm never in a hurry, and being short (5'5") It takes a few more steps than it would someone in the 6'+ range. If its a first time climbing a tree and I have to attach the stand and trim a few limbs, it could be 30min - 40min in cool weather. when its hot out I don't even mess with all that, get too sweaty too fast. By comparrison, it take me about 10mins to get in my box stand, settle in and be ready to hunt.

whatever you do, take your time and wear a saftey harness!

First I need to go checkout some local trees I have in mind and see if a climber/non climber would work best. Climbers seen a little cheaper compared to buyin a non climber and having to buy a ladder/steps. But it wouldnt be nothing at all to move a non climber and a ladder or steps to a new tree. Just would have to do it durign the middle of the day or before the season if I decide I want to move my location after deciding on another tree.

if the trees you have look anything like these, I really do think you would like the climbers a little better. (or it will give you an idea of why I'm so biased)

have alot of oaks which have alot more branches/limbs then those. those r excellent climber trees. STRAIGHT as they come, mine arent that straight but I have one that has a 2 person 16" ladder stand just looking for a good single stand that I can hunt when the wind is right. I will go check it out soon, but I see y u like climbers

I bought the gorilla ss goliath stand and set it up and could not find any good trees in the area. They all are either not straight/have knots/ or have big limbs I do not want to cut. So a climbing stand will not work. I am now on the lookout for a good hang on stand $150 or less and a good cheap ladder system up to 20 feet or maybe more

Go look on sportsmans guide. They usually have some pretty good deals on stands. I've ordered a few from them.

You can't really be lost if you don't care where you are.

well I bought an API steel magnum deluxe hang on stand for around $100. It is awesome, well built, big platform. Cant wait to get it in the tree to test it out. I will be returning my gorilla stand. I wish I could utilize a climbing stand bc the summit gorilla is awesome, especially because I got it for $200 brand new.

chainsaw? How high could you get up with a climber before running into limbs?

These are big limbs. Around 10 feet maybe. These are oak trees and similar style trees so they have alot of pretty big branches fairly low. I dont want to cut them being deer love them and I dont want to remove cover or else I would. These limbs are big and long. All being greater then 6 or 7 inches in diameter. And then after say one limb on the left side there is another limb 5 foot higher on the right. So it would take down way too many limbs.

I would suggest Rapid Rails to get up in the try if you use a lock on. Quick to install and if you get the aluminum ones they are light to carry.

I bought an api 20 stackin stick ladder(4 sections) for $60. I looked at the rapid rails but they only went to 16 feet for the same price. I think that extra 4 feet makes a huge difference. I have a 15-16 foot 2 person big game ladder stand and I wish it was slightly higher because the deer notice any movement.

IF MONEY IS NOT AN ISSUE LOOK INTO A LONE WOLF CLIMBER. LIGHT, COMPACT, AND QUIET UP AND DOWN THE TREE.

well the problem as I posted a few posts up is that my trees are not accessible to climbers. Too many branches/limbs so I went with a hang on
