I have seen like with everything..All the big names claim their camo pattern is the best.
Being in the military I got to try alot of different camo patterns..
I got on ASAT Camo website and Predator Camo website...And both make comments that all the camo you see in the big chain stores is made to catch the hunters eye..Not made to work with what the animal see's
ASAT says that their is no green in their camo pattern..They copy nature..And say Brown is the way to go...And say if you want to look good than our camo is not for you!!!! We make camo to natures eye..
And they make a claim use their camo for 1 year..And they say you will see more game, if not they will buy it back...
I read all this off their website...
I have worn everything from old military camo to real tree to mossey oak..
But im thinking ASAT website may have sold me on wearing their patteren for 2010 deer season...
So what camo do you think works the best?????

Hunt from a box blind and forget the camo. Did afew hunts this year from a box blind..But I prefer to be on the ground or up in a tree..I think the action is better from a view of a treestand i do 95% of my hunting on the ground (disregarding all the hog hunting i do for hogs outta my mule) and camo doesnt matter all that much. ive never noticed a difference in the patterns.

I hate ducks , but duck camo or grass land whatever it is makes a good all round camo due to our native grasses. jmo

Bein a waterfowler, Mossy Oak Shadow Grass WAS my favorite. Don't really have a favorite anymore because Max 4 is too brown and Duck Blind is so white it glows in thew dark. Heard one time that Mossy Oak has a New Shadow Grass, but I haven't found it. When deer huntin, I wore whichever one was at the front of the closet.

I like kings the best, but don't think it really matters.. If I'm in a box I'm in a carhart any way.
Up in a tree bow hunting then its what ever pattern cloths that fit the weather. Could be Kings, Realtree, or Timberwolf
Duck hunting it either Columbia Duckmarsh or Timberwolf.

depends... shadowgrass is still one of my favorites for slipping through the hayfields or down in the riverbottom in all the switchcane.
On the side of a small pine tree w/ jack squat behind me to conceal me, I think I could wear hot pink and it still not matter. If I move I am sca-rewed.

Mossy Oak prefered but honestly I have a little bit of everything and I mix it all and the deer never complain.

IMO Camo patterns are like knife sharpeners and golf clubs. There is always a new and better pattern whose makers claim is the ultimate in technology and performance.
IMO this is all smoke and mirrors.
I do not dispute that camo is useful or even necessary. I just dont believe it's necessary to chase the next big thing.
The ASAT pattern does interest me however. It's got a pretty intuitive design that would break up your outline very well.

If you wear a green shirt with brown pants and a gray hat, well then, you've got your own custom camo! And you just saved $100.

I wear carhart all the time but not in the woods during deer season. Looks to much like deer hide and if theres a dumby in the woods that shoots before he identifies, then Im a dead man. Other than that i wear military camo. Very tough, semi snag restitant, dries great and moisture resitant. I walk through a lot of briar and crawl through a lot of barb wire. The military camo has never tore on me. Its actually military clothes not just the pattern. Wouldnt change it for the world.

carhart jacket works pretty good. Amen Brotha from anothamotha! If I'm in a stand who cares, if I'm on the ground busting the horns together I like Brush Country
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

It depends on the terrain you'll be in. We wear brush country pattern in west Texas, but in east Texas we use Mossy Oak or Real Tree Hardwoods.
