Is it just me or does anyone else notice this guy just doesn't get it that he can't hit scat with his rinky dink pistol? Saw him miss yet another animal (a bear this time) that was rediculously close.

It's all for the sponsors man. He's getting paid a ton to shoot that pistol. If he weren't getting paid, he'd definately be using a different weapon. Trust me. I highly doubt that he likes missing animals all the time.

I'm sure he is getting paid. I'm not sure TC is getting their money's worth when the prevailing message in watching the show is, "Boy, that pistol doesn't work worth a dang." because he whiffs all the time.

The TC's might be an accurate brand in general but I wonder if the .30 caliber bullet doesn't have enough rifling to stabilize enough to be accurate.

Besides it's pointless to shoot a round like that out of a pistol, the velocity would suck.

I have to agree with you 100% TC pays the jim shockys, greg ritz's,stan potts, etc etc etc etc.. A ton of cash to shoot their products why?????? TO GET YOUR MONEY$$$$$$

And I HIGHLY doubt as well Larry likes missing ANIMALS ON TV..If.He was not getting paid to shoot that pistol..He would be useing a different weapon...

I still would hunt with the man anyday, if I got the invite...

Bizzare marketing strategy. If I was TC, I'd tell him to edit out all the misses.

Try hunting with a pistol and you will see its alot harder than it looks.

I can tell you right now I have missed alot more animals with my pistols than I have hit.......and some of those misses were less than 10 yards.

Think I will stick with rifle and bow hunting. At least a miss with those will be my fault and not my equipment.

Probably true. And it doesn't make me want to run out and buy a pistol either.

I agree. It seems careless to be using a firearm that gives you no confidence in your shot. Isn't it a hunter’s responsibility to be as humane as possible when shooting an animal (hit the vitals)?

I will stick with the rifle. I do not get enough chances per year to afford to miss.

It's unethical to shoot something and not have any clue as to whether you will hit it or not. Everyone misses but the laws of average are way against you so why risk wounding an animal?

Yeah, it almost seems like he is doing his sponsors a disservice.

I bet all bowhunters hit everything they aim at too huh???

I feel pretty good out to about 25 yards with a fixed sight revolver! I have had plenty of practice at those ranges and misses still happen at less than 10 yards!

Most of my misses happend when I first started pistol hunting a few years ago, and my ability to hit animals has gotten better with time! Last year however I missed a spike at about 9 yards with my 44. I have no idea how that happend, but it was a easy shot that I missed!

I wont take the shot unless I feel good about it, but your still going to miss alot more fequently with a pistol than a bow or rifle.

Shame on me for not having a good miss/kill ratio and shame on me for hunting with a pistol and being honest about it! And shame on Mr. Wieshuhn for showing that he is human for missing on his TV show!

Shame...Shame...Shame... No I'm not saying shame on you or Larry but why give those Peta Aholes another thing to beech about. It's bad enough we have to watch Larry miss or better yet wound an animal.

I hate missing or losing an animal just as much as the next guy. If you want to shoot with a pistol by all means have at it. Just saying in most cases you are there to harvest meat for the freezer. Might have the odds in your favor if it wasn't with your pistola.

I dont worry about what them PETA flakes think! I refuse to live my life worrying what some radical group of antis is going to think about me or what I do! They hate us and will always find ways and reasons to hate us.

For me I dont go into the woods for meat......I go for sport! (If I was in it for the meat I could buy beef and pork at the store much cheaper then I can hunt them.) In order to make the sport more of a challenge for me I like to use a pistol on occasion. Killing a doe or small buck means nothing to me with a rifle, but that same deer with a handgun is a true trophy to me. Dont get me wrong......I DO LOVE THE MEAT, but its not my number one reason for killing an animal.

And so far I have only wounded one animal with a pistol(it was a doe). Now granted one is too many, but its going to happen to everyone if you hunt long enough.

I don't mind watching people miss. It's all about hunting. It's A real hunting show, people actually do miss!! If you don't like it turn the channel. Pistol hunting reminds me of bow hunting, you get close to the animal, my heart starts racing, no matter what animal i'm shooting at!! It's fun getting in close and busting something with a bow or pistol. Dont' worry though, I still love my rifle hunting. I love hunting period, be it with a bow, crossbow, pistol, rifle or cannon!! Wait, a cannon hmmm. Nevermind that probably is'nt legal anyways.

Nah I don't care about those aholes anymore than you nor do I live my life worrying about what others think of me.

Tell me do you hunt out of a box or tree stand with that pistol or do you spot and stalk? I just think that if your sitting in front of a feeder in a box blind that challenge thing goes out the window for me just saying. Yes it's a challenge to sit there and be quiet but alot is timing on the animals part.

Personally, I think he is a stand up guy. I can say that after meeting him and speaking with him about hunting. People do miss. Heck, this year was the worst for me. I missed a doe with my bow, spike with my rifle, and a bobcat with my rifle. 1st miss of my life this year and I had 3. It is part of hunting. My excuse would be that I rushed the shots. I should not have done that and I got back out on the range and fixed my problem and wound up finishing the season with 2 absolutely great shots.

I actually plan on taking a hog this spring with a pistol so I'm not against hunting with one. But I think it's more common sense to use pistol calibers in pistols.

I sit in box blinds, tower stands, tripods, and ground blinds and the feeders are at least 80 yards away from the stands and some are as far away as 300. I have never shot a deer at the feeder with a pistol (80+ yards is simply to far for that), but I wouldnt hesitate to pop one going to the feeder which is what happens most of the time.

Shame on me for hunting box blinds and corn feeders!

I shot a Bobcat a few years ago with my 10mm while siting on my 4 wheeler.....shame on me for that too.
