I have 2 of the semi autos, a 12 and a 20. They are very light and built on the blueprint of the old remington 1100s (in Turkey I believe). A little picky on ammo but they shoot great and I think i paid $150 for each of them.

Also remington 1100 rings and washers will work on them if and when the originals wear out.

My Dad bought one a few years ago (12 guage auto, all black) and it is a smooth shooting gun. I'm sure some folks on here have other opinions and while it is not a Vinci or Browning Gold, IMO, it is a great gun for the money.

WHAT DO YOU MEEN PICKY ON AMMO? I FOUND ONE IN 20 FOR 250? You have to shoot heavier dram loads. Sometimes the cheapest dove loads dont cycle. I know I have to shoot 1 Oz loads in my 12 but I seem to recall my 20 shoots anything. Dont worry about it, its not really an issue, Just dont nuy a case of shells on sale at WalMart until youve shot a box of them through your gun. Charles Daly has excellent customer service. I emailed them and they told me what to look for.

walmart has the pump cheap, and the auto goes for around 299
Back in the day they were a cheaper alternative to the 870 and 1100's. I'm looking at an auto for my daughter

I had 1 for the wife in 20 ga. It shot the cheap win. like a dream, no problem at all The only thing i didnt like was shell displacement, that SOB would throw a shell 20 yds. We have to pick up every spent hull, and most of the time, we spent more time looking for hulls, than dove hunting! LOL All in all, it Was a good shooter though, and would buy another, if she wanted to get back into bird hunting JMO

I was teaching the wife to shoot skeet with the 20 and I stood on the wrong side of her. Hull hit me in the face and sent my glasses flying!

I have a 12 that the ejector just went out. I was going to send it back, so long Charles, read below http://www.charlesdaly.com/To all our friends, fans, supporters and consumers of Charles Daly and by extension, KBI products, I regret to inform you that the rumors of our demise are true. KBI is going out of business and closing its doors, effective today, January 29, 2010. I don't want to go into each and every detail as to why this has occurred, except to say that there have been a multitude of events over the past five years that have contributed to our current situation. For those of you with ongoing service requirements please be advised that we are currently negotiating with several companies that will be performing after-sale service of Charles Daly, CD Defense and Jericho firearms. As soon as we have finalized a contract with one of these companies we will post the name, address and contact details of that company on www.CharlesDalyForum.com, so you will know who to contact to obtain service on your KBI firearm. Again, I wish to thank all of you that have supported our company, Charles Daly and all the other fine firearms that we have sold over the years.. This spells the end of KBI but I imagine it will certainly not mean the end of Charles Daly® and CD Defense™. Look for this excellent brand to resurface in the very near future. Sincerely, Michael B. Kassnar, President K.B.I., Inc.

dang....that sucks. Is this the same as New England Fire Arms? My gun says new england firearms on it, and the box said charles daly. Again, My gun works great, its not the prettiest or the most expensive but it gets-r-done, well.
