I don't work for Plano but I got an email about several openings in their Records Division. Info should be available at the City of Plano website. Should be desk work for anyone thats interested. Thats all I know. Good Luck. Again, this is the forwarded information, I am not a contact for this job.

We have several vacancies we are trying to fill at this time – we are going to a 24/7 operation and need to fill some “odd hour” time slots. If you know of any good candidates or please have them visit the City of Plano job postings.

2 full-time and 2 part-time positions are currently open – work schedule times are below:

Friday thru Monday – 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM Full-time position (4 10-hour shifts)

Friday thru Monday – 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM Full-time position (4 10-hour shifts)

Tuesday thru Saturday – 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM part-time position (5 4-hour shifts)

Tuesday thru Saturday – 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM part-time position (5 4-hour shifts)

Looking for a job in the Bryan/College Station area. Will be moving down there around the 16th of January. I am currently a jailer at a small county jail, but have experience in other fields as well.

We recently bought a car for my wife at Carmax at I-30 and Eastchase on the Arlington/Fort Worth line and I noticed they were hiring sales associates. In talking to my salesman, it's a low-pressure gig (NOTHING like the high-pressure tactics associated with car sales normally) and the hours seem to be somewhat flexible.

My brother (age 25 and an avid outdoorsman), has his undergrad in Business Management from Texas A&M and has an MBA from Sam Houston. He has been training to be a manager for a year with a company with the understanding that he could not work on Saturday for religeous reasons. The location he trained was not open on Sat, but of course, they placed him in San Antonio an a location that is open half a day on Sat. and they informed him that he must conform or find a new job. He's a good, honest, and moral individual who is a great businessman. If anyone knows of any opportunities, please let me know or give him a call at (903)641-2693. His name is Kevin. He is now in San Antonio, but will be more than happy to work anywhere.

God Bless,
Derek Ivie

I have a friend looking for a job at a gun store in the DFW area. He's in his 40's, military background and CHL. He's not too worried about the income (shocker) but wants to be in that environment. Thanks for any leads...

Good luck buddy. Keep your head high and show em how good you are at what you're interviewing for.

Just a piece of advice- My dad, who has been in the hiring business for about 30 years now told me that he would never hire a man who looked like he needed a job because he would do anything to keep it. Sell them on your strengths and abilities, not your need.

Hey guys I have a preventative maintenance company I'm trying to start and it's slow and I've spent the farm, if anyone knows anyone who has just about any type of equipment, construction, oilfield, pumpjacks, light plants, forklifts, manlifts, generators, if it has oil and filters I bet I can work on it.
Please call Wes @ 432-661-3267. I charge mileage so willing to travel. Thanks.
