I have 4 spots open on my mills county lease. There are 7 hunters total. The lease is just under 2000 acres. There is a house with electric, gas,water,and satellite. 7 tanks that hold water year round with excellent bass fishing. all of the hunting is excellent:Dove,Deer,Duck,Turkey. this is a year round lease with guests allowed, but they shoot off your allotment. more details along with photos can be provided on request. Sorry if I have not gotten back to everyone. I am still trying to work through all the responses. I have a couple groups set up to show the property this weekend, if the weather permits. I am trying to go in the order in which I received responses, but that does not mean I am taking the first group I show it to. The group has to like what they see and I have to be confident in their character.

I have been getting back to as many people as I can. I am a full time student and work at the same time. I have contacted those top 5 that RESPONDED to me first. I had about 10 responses within 30 minutes of this ad and now the numbers are way up to 40-50 groups.

Yep great area and great price, dont go with who has the money cause that will be no problem make sure it is a group that are the same age group and same management practice you are doing. With that said jump me to first in line and i will come see it..J/K Good Luck.

TCUHUnter Replied to me quickly so I have no problems there. In his post he mentioned he was looking to fill spots, but now it seems he may have meant he needed a group of 4 people. I am just a single, it is dang near impossible to get any responses from anyone I have contacted in the last 2 months to fill a single spot or provide lease land for a single hunter. Very Frustrating.

Chuck, I do not have a problem with filling the lease with singles, as long as everyone gets along. However I had many groups of 4 shoot me PMs right after the post started. So therefore I scheduled them to look at the lease. You are still on the list with everyone else that has PM or posted in a civil way. I understand totally, it was not a knock on you at all. I was just making a comment that you had been mentioning groups. I was just kind of venting on the furstrations of trying to find a lease as a single hunter. I have called several land owners and the conversation about 85% of the time has gone the same way with them asking me how many people I have with me, and when I tell them it is just me, they tell me they don't fill single spots and that's it.

Thanks for all the PMs Frustrated Hunter. Anything I write here doesnt seem to sink into your head. I have said a couple times I will take singles, but since your a single does that mean you get to jump the line of the groups that responded before you? I have a couple groups, than a single, than a few more groups, than and other single...all in order and will be shown the property in that order.


For those interested in looking for a lease, be it this one or another, remember you catch more flies with honey. Its people like FH that cause ranch owners and lease managers to think twice about posting a lease. I have tried to show everyone respect and I expect the same back.
