I have more than I have fingers and toes. Now bear in mind that some people have lost a few appendages. Not saying whether I have or not, just saying. That being said, my safe is not full.(as it could be) I also have an extra safe. I also have a "little" more than one box of ammo for each.

You think honest people are the only ones reading these forums? Times are tough, and guns can be converted to cash almost as easily as taking a jar of coins to the coinstar deal at the grocery store. I'm not really concerned about BoBo taking my stuff, I'm worried about the guy that just wants to separate me from my possessions while my family is sleeping at night, with no concern for the welfare of my family while he does it.

Sure, many crimes are opportunistic type deals, but many of the other ones are also targeted hits, and sometimes we get so comfortable that we make ourselves an easy target. Yeah, we have an alarm, and keep things locked up tight in the safe, but have you timed police response times for calls of an alarm going off when the homeowner is not home during the day? Sometimes you wonder if 3 or 4 guys could dismantle your entire house and haul it off by the time the cops show up.

well, I know I have more rods and reels and fishing equipment than guns but, on the other hand, I have enough to get the job done if/when it needs doing.

I shoot trap and skeet with a guy who says you should own a gun for each year of your age. He's about 60 and does have about 60 guns.

Several of mine are just old family guns that aren't real good guns, but have a lot of sentimental value.
