They are good people too, I've hunted with some of the guys, and killed some beer with the rest. Glad they found a way to make money at what they love, but I'm sure they are a loooong way from a profit. As a callmaker, I know what it costs to get set up to do injection molding, ain't cheap. Especially if you keep it in the states.

Congrats setxhunter : Your the grand prize winner- Shoot me a Pm with your addy and I will send the BG your way.

When I started duck hunting there was a limited choice of calls,but they were the best of the best.At 17.00 you could get a call that some companies are selling for 125.00 dollars today.Of course I have never owned any of these newer high end calls-I dont fall into the gimmicks and the "name game" when I buy gear.I pay for what works.I also try to keep all my bizness in Tex.I like to support the local hunters like myself.I have the same outlook on guns-I started duck hunting at 7 with a 870 and thats all my Dad would shoot.So I have never owned anyhting but Remingtons ,after 42 years of the old mule kicker(try shooting some 3 1/2 out of a Rem Super Mag)and you will understand.No shoulder left -so as of this year I have my first Auto.Rem 11-87 Premier..Sweet Sweet.Even though I reload-this 1187 and Kent fasteel go to gether like apple pie and Vanilla ice cream..I sure wish they (kent) would tell me the powder they use and the load data.But they wont ,already made that call.

Went out and got me a RNT goozilla for this weekends hunt. Tried it out with the geese flying to the pond behind the house. I got some interesting looks and even a few groups that 'hovered' over the house. It should be interesting this weekend.

names don't matter if you can't sound like a duck...

That being said, Iverson for ducks, Foiles for geese

Thanx;
it use to be different,but I changed it to more of personal website vs the Hunting and Fishing site it use to be.
I dont do alot of stuff that I use to do- no more "free" rides in the Airboat either..Long story..cut it short-took a ol boy out hunting (local) and due to his OWN stupidity he got tossed from the boat coming out of Flag Pond Cut..didnt hear from the guy for a few weeks..then I did..I almost lost some big bucks due to this individual..some people.It has made me real gun shy as to who steps in my boat!!The whole situation was a real eye opener: needless to say I just got through doing 3 years in the military and 27 years of State Service and I just retired so I didnt feel I needed to Pack this guys wallet for him...thank God a judge agreed with me..Nothing left to say on that matter.

Duck calls are like Camo..it all depends on the need at the time.
Every camo has a place and time..duck calls are the same,some good for open water,some for creeks,some for Timber and on and on.
But when you get down to the nitty gritty of it-the call is only as good as the person holding it-

A duck is a duck etc etc..same for calls..some you just "pay" more for becuz of the name on it.I try not to get caught up in that game.
