I can't say I've ever heard a javi eating. Hogs are VERY loud eaters. Probably a hog you heard.

What a dumb argument

Couple years ago after a 9.5 hour drive to Pecos County it was a race to get into the stand for an afternoon hunt.

Got in the stand and the feeder didnt go off that evening, so at dark I pulled the 4 wheeler up to shine light onto the feeder to check it out.

I layed my rifle on the seat and jumped into the pen.

Checked everything out, and I heard something walking up to the pen, and it was 3 javelinas.

It scared the crap out of me.

I kicked dirt at them and they just stood there and started clacking thier jaws.

I had to yell at them to get them to leave.

I've seen a bunch of them down there, but never wanted to shoot to risk running off a good muley.

I do one to shoot one for a skull mount though.

If they had any Javy in them at all you would smell it but they don't....those are 100% Bacon.

Did they smell like a skunk? Javis have gland in their back that smell awful. I f they were javis you would have surly smelt the stank!!!!

Hogs no doubt. Dont have the "collar" and have those tell tale tails. If you held a javy up like that you would stink for a week and may have to burn the clothes at the campfire....lol.

There is a thread on here where the euro vs ferral pigs, Those are the euro type: shape osf head ,smaller rear hips, sraight tail. longer hair on center of back and hump etc. They are cool hogs but not Javies.
