Go to gun is my little Ruger 44 mag carbine.
Son #1 Killt a nice doe with our Stevens 200 in 223. DRT
Other son killed nice 8 pt with my 44 carbine. DRT
I killed a spike with my 336 in 30-30. Ran about 50 yds through the timber:(
Gonna shoot my 700 this week in 308 but may end up with the 44 cause it's a very cool/lucky gun.
BTW I need another duck gun pretty quick if anyone wants to trade me for one of my 336s'.

Where's all the Savage guys?
Open Country/long range, Savage 10FP in 308 with Leupold Mk 4 4-14x40LR
Brush/short range, Remington 750 Carbine in 308 with Burris Fullfield II.... Savage 110 .243 with a Simmons on top. Had it since I was 13 and love that gun. mine is a savage 110e 30-06

Either a Ruger Mini-14 GB or Bushmaster M-4 loaded with Winchester 64 grain PSP. Used this round before and its very good. G-17 at the side in case of 4 legged rogue dogs. I contemplated using my Maverick 88 with full choke and Federal 00 buck with the flite control wad. Still thinking about that one.

have a few but this season I am deer hunting with a Tikka T3 Lite in .308 wearing a Burris FF II 3x9x40 A nice choice and combo...

Weatherby Vanguard in 7Mag, with a Nikon 3x9x50. Shooting handloads, 150 grain hollowpoints. My other deer gun is a Ruger M 77 in 270, topped with a Burris 3x9x40 shooting 140 grain Winchester Supremes.

Ruger Hawkeye 338 Federal Stainless fitted to a Ruger Ultra-light stock. Scope is a Bushnell 6500 2.5-16x40 (pics show a Nikon Monarch pulled from my AR to test this rifle prior to purchasing the 6500).    David

Savage Mod 99 250-3000 with Bushnell 3-9 My Great-Uncle needs a scope because of his eyes. So we relented and put one on his favorite 30-30, which is the one he wanted to shoot. Please tell me you put one on your 99 because of the same reason. I can't believe anyone would put one on a lever action gun that is only good to 150 yards max.
