Does anyone know anything about the 12 point that was takin in Greenvally just north of Denton. It was a 12 point that will push 200" some people are saying that it may break the Texas State record for typical. Didnt know if it was true or just rumors.

it is probably close to 200 but it isn't nearly typical. Drives me nuts when people say, 'it will probably beat the texas record' when the deer is an awesome deer, but nowhere close to a record. Just like the big low fence deer killed in Shackleford county.

This isn't meant for the OP, I'm sure somebody told him the deer was gonna be the Texas record.

Now, if there is another deer that is a 200" typical, awesome, but I haven't heard about it so it is probably a rumor.

I guess you can't read the word PROBABLY.

So what's the probability of it being a rumor if you haven't heard of it, statistically speaking of course

The probability of a 200" typical anywhere is high. The more parameters you add into that, like someone hearing about it, the higher it gets.

I hope someone did kill a deer like that, well to an extent. It would be great for a deer like to come from a low fence place in Texas. Maybe then people would understand that not all big deer are from high fence places. But, it would suck for the people that actually have places to hunt in the area. Hell, I hope we never see pics of it if there was one like that killed.

Im confused by the first part of your statement, but 110% agree with the last part. There are no deer in Denton County, that has become the official, un-official slogan for DC on here. Didnt mean to get you amped up by my first post.

lol, I was just trying to make it sound better.

If they would quit building houses in the area there would be more places to sit and not see deer. Wish I had more connections on the south end of the lake.

The deer Bubba is referring to is totally different deer than the one Dustin killed. It was killed in the same area though. This deer is a straight up 12 with a small kicker off the left G4. And it is a monster. I have a picture of it on my phone

If you've ever fished at the Lewisville spillway then you may have seen the deer, turkey and all kinds of wildlife back there. I've seen a huge 14 point chasing does on the backside of the damn, all kinds of turkeys, ducks, and anything else you could imagine. Would love to hunt that paradise, but there's no hunting that corp land. Fishing can be good at times.

The buck that i was talking about wasnt the monster with the drop tine. I also have a pic on my phone, im not to good at scoring bucks, but i dont think that it will make 200". It is a huge deer and I would have loved the chance to take it. Just give it some time and the pic will hit this site. I have a iphone and if anyone knows how i can get the pic to the forum then i will try.
