Okay I have been only fowling for two seasons and love every single minute of it but their are some times I have no clue of what my buddies are talking about. Like a black jack's and grays and others what are some names I should know about when identifying I usually lookem up on the blackberry. Thanks guys

OMG, we have to come up all of the names for a northern shoveler, I'll start with my favorite I heard on RNTV- a bologna snatcher. I know a bunch more but I want to hear everyones names.

smiling mallard/ hollywood/ spoonie/ boot lip- northern shoveler
suzie- hen mallard
water turkey- commorant
honkers- canada geese (not canadian)
specks/specklebelly- white fronted goose

Here is some of my own
Tank Turd = Jacks = Ringneck
Brown Heads = Sprig = Pintail
Weatherford Mallards = Gray duck = Gadwall
Whats that = Mallard ( from the 08-09 season)
OTM = Other than Mallard

a blue phase ross is about as rare as they come. you should have gotten it mounted.

couple of years later had a guy from the smithsonian inquired about one and said that if someone got one they would be named on the plaque... put the word out and a, day hunter shot one and donated it...
it was prolly the rarest bird I have come across.
