I used to shoot a Rem 700 in .270 win with a Nikon 3x9-40

or an ar15 with a varmint barrel and a 4x16-50 illuminated reticle

that is until the incident

I don't currently own any guns

next trip in I am going to hunt with my go-to gun. I have shot my last 4 decent bucks with it, so time to break out my lucky charm.

Rem 700 cdl 300wm
6.5-20x50 Barska
180gr Win SP

when I get out of the metal frame box stands, I will break out something else and cover as much brush as possible. Anyone else have those special guns that they only pull out of the safe on special occassions?

This year I have been carrying the Rem 700 BDL 25-06, and the Matthews Switchback XT. I love the 25-06 for the shots that present themselves where I hunt.
