Silver-factored means that he has a silver gene and when bred with a silver factored female lab (which can be any color) or a 100% silver ....the female will then have a percentage of her litter be silver lab pups! Mason is an excellent dog, great hunting background and is registered through AKC.
More info to come...

No he is just a family dog and we are just looking to breed him, great hunting background... the female I have out of his litter has little training and knows to pick up ducks...a lil rough with the mouth but that can be fixed. Check out www.silverlabs.comThis is where I got Mason.... If you look on the website Mason's dad is Jake and Kal's male companion (who we bred her to) is Taz.

please do not start the silver lab sh!t again. There are 3 colors, Black, Yellow and Chocolate. There was a thread on here that would not die and I may have just started it again. Sorry to hijack, but I do not want the 'silver" gene in my kennel at all. Good luck though.

I do not know of a breeder who will use a certain stud dog just because he has a block head. You need to provide health certs., titles, and pedigree. If you dont, people will think that you are just a back yard breeder.

Sorry to hijack, but I do not want the 'silver" gene in my kennel at all. Good luck though. Just check out www.silverlabs.com .....it's weird how my lab is not chocolate nor black or yellow....she's full silver DeLome, That stud you have is a fine looking dog silver gene or not. However, I went to this website and I must say that the article on "The Silver Lab Controversy" was a little over the top and many of the photos looked Photoshopped to enhance the lighter shades of the Choco labs. In other words I don't think this site helps your cause as a professional stud dog provider. IMO you could train up you dog and start competing in field/hunting trials get your paper work and info together properly and I believe there would be some opportunities to provide a stud. Most guys I know do not want a pup breed off of a dog that is not an experienced hunter/trail dog. A little imrovements in training and I think you would see some doors open. Good luck.
