when I picked up the meat from Joshua deer processor it was 670 on his sclae. that was in the boxes. A der fills up one box usually and I filled up 11. I am only going by what his scale said.

she could have also been over 1200 lbs. he was just guessing and it was the 2nd biggeest he had seen other than 1 other bull he did a few yrs back. His scale could have very well been off. I know we went out and bought a new upright freezer. I filled it completely.I filled a empty small chest deep freeze that is 3 ft tall by 3 feet wide by 2 ft deep. we have a extra refridgerater in garage for drinks and I filled the freezer in it.I also gave probably 2 ice chest full away to My family and my dad. My dad gets a cow slaughtered every yr and he gets back about 400lbs and I had quite abit more than he gets back. Hey again the scale could be off,it may have been less.

I have a 'hunt' coming up in two weeks (Jan 14-16) with MMK Outfitter in Clifton. I will be harvesting a cow buffalo using my muzzleloader. The processing will be done in Rogers, TX.

YES... I understand this may not be a hunt in the classical sense, but it is the only way I can afford to harvest a buffalo.

I had a man give me some steaks off of an older cow that died on his ranch that he had processed in Kerrville. It was very nice of him to do that.

You could not beat that meat up with a grubbing hoe, tough wasn't the word for it.

I'm sure a younger one would have been fine though.

Bartender, bring me anything except brake fluid, cause I don't plan on stopping!
