Yeah, I knew that was Steve on the left as he comes to our camp regularly, but I didnt know the GW on the right. yeah steve is a nice guy and a great warden, but he does mean business when he is working. As he should...

My FIL killed a 11 pt with a 18 1/4" spread yesteday on our lease north of town. He was chasing and even bred a doe before he met his fate.

My FIL killed a 11 pt with a 18 1/4" spread yesteday on our lease north of town. He was chasing and even bred a doe before he met his fate. you got pics ? that sounds like a nice deer for the area. glad he let him do his bidness first !!!

See, here I am again leaving the county to pursue East Texas deer. Heck at mom and dads south of wp they feed the deer in a bird bath in their front yard.

i got pulled over in van zandt a few weeks ago heading in from the lease and the trooper could not quit talkin about these two bucks...i think me being interested got me out of a ticket

One was hit on hwy 19 just south of canton about .5 mile south of city limits and the one on left was hit on FM 1395 north of edgewood in between fm 859 and fm 47.....talked to the trooper that worked it the next morning. This pic has not been around as this just happened a couple of weeks ago and both of these deer were in van zandt county. that is stapleton on the left and herchman on the right, he is a new warden that come from montague county. just wanted to clear it up.. I need to put a stand up on my buddies place now! It is off 3710 in that exact area. I fish there and see tracks but too many neighbors to make me interested in hunting it but you never know.
