Ok. I am going to advertise a little now. My BIL just bought the Old Town Meat Market in Lewisville and I know for sure he will be processing deer. I don't know yet what else he will be doing but will post when I find out. I think he is one of the best around and he has been doing it a long time. His dad started the market along with another guy in 1977. Give him a try if your in this area. You won't be disappointed. Thanks

Kuby's get all mine, whether it's Elk, Moose, Deer or Pig.. These guys rock. The summer sausage has been a hit at all my parties. Their packaged ground can be brought back to them at a later date if you find a sausage that you just have to have. Good People.

My son works for a managed game ranch near Sweetwater and they take all of their game to either Strawn (ask for Dude) or to Clay's in Dublin. He said Clay's is doing a good job and the breakfast sausage is really good!

Does anyone know of any processors in the Quitman/Mineola/Emory area? I used Gormans in Terrell last year and was disappointed.

What you really need is a 300 Winchester Magnum. That is the best caliber on the planet, probably even in the solar system and maybe the universe. Go get him! Shoot him in the face!

I always liked Kuby's in Dallas until I went by last Saturday to drop off a doe I shot and the sign said, " CLOSED SAT. and SUNDAY. Had to do it the old fashioned way, at home.

Hudson's on Congress in Austin, Texas of all places. Best Jalepeno CHeese I have ever had. Every deer hunter and "NON HUNTERS" I have ever given some too around the state has asked me to start taking their deer there or give them some every year. Sometimes I give it to people who say they hate venision and they change their mind right away. Give it a try. Worth the drive if you are in the area.
Note: Not on the menu but ask for the "Chorizo"...awesome!

Joanis Family Processing is the best around the Lampasas,Copperas Cove,Killeen area! They have an awesome website too, www.joanisprocessing.com! I have been using them for 6 years now! Love them! JJ and Lauren Joanis are just really great people! They make you feel like family and they even take pictures of you and your deer and post on their website, which is a nice touch!
