You can't do anything. Its his property, assuming he owns it. You're too close to the fence if his truck is spooking off your deer. Just move your feeder. The deer will find it in a week or less. Enjoy the rest of the season.

How bad do you guys think moving my feed will affect the deer??? Depends on where you moved it, but it obviously wasn't working for them before, so it could only get better. Right?

From the OP, it sounds like maybe your feeder and blind are very close to the fence. If that's the case, he is probably doing what numerous people on this forum have said they would do if someone hunted too close to their fence. Just a thought.

next time he parks his truck there just go over and spray paint his truck a nice hunters green with a little grey and maybe some black and the deer will never see it.

After having been on several leases and seeing this on several. Sounds like both of you are setting up on the neighbor fence line. Move away from the fence line I have never understood that, I got invited to a friends place a couple of years ago and his feeders were by the fence line and the way his stand was set up he was shooting towards the neighbors property. Take a minute and look at your setup, and possibly move away from the fence line and further into the property if you want corn the fence line toward your new feeder placement but the deer will find it.

Sorry man. I'll move my truck I just didn't want any stray bullets hitting my meth lab and blowing things up. LOL That's just wrong.
If I'm not hunting something I must be dead.

He probably doesn't feel safe with you shooting toward his land and this is his way of letting you know. If nothing else, you know he is out there and you need to be extra careful every time you see the truck.
I have a place that has a strip down to the river that is only 100-150 yards wide (natural pinch point). Both sides are hay fields. I have a feeder and stand in the middle of my 100 yard wide strip. It is for bow hunting. On opening day of gun season, I had a man in a truck sitting on the fence line to the east and two guys on the west on an atv. One man was standing right in line with my feeder only 60 yards away. I went over there and spoke to them. I told them I wanted to be sure no one got hurt. I knew I was out gunned and I thought I would be the one to get hurt. They were really nice and didn't know I was hunting there. But if they said they didn't care, they weren't doing anything illegal until a bullet crossed the fence.

We have a similar problem with the jerk beside us. Last year on opening weekend he decided to dig a tank, ok but this year he decided to start clearing trees. Now we have a problem, What can be done nothing it is his land and he is in the right to do so, butI might add, he is setting his self up with someof the hunters in the area for a mishap to occur. Not to bright is this jerk of a bordernieghbor. Lets see 500-1250 a gun X 15-25 hunters in surrounding affected area = OOOOOOOOOOOPs
NRA member and proud of it.

Thing is im really not close to the fence. If it wasnt for an open spot on the tree line he would never known i was there. Im thinking about next year when i trim trees, i am going to pile up the area with the limbs. not the answer but hopefully it will help.

I'd just ask if he thinks you're too close to the property line. Does he have a feeder close to the line too? how big is your lease? if you're hunting on 2000 acres and he has 117, it might be common courtesy not to hunt the fence lines... but ya'll are both skirting around the issue, just talk it out

I had deer walk between my truck and deer stand all weekend. This is a new place I hunt and there is only one place to park. Doesn't seem to bother the deer at all.
If you keep your hair short and your mouth shut, things tend to run a lot smoother.

I think it was just coincidence. I hunt out of my truck all the time. Deer walk right by it. I doubt the truck is spooking the deer.

Although my gut reaction is to agree with Doctayler and few others on this thread, you did the right thing and moved your feeder. Now hope for the best in the new location extra corn leading up tp your feeder may help some also. Good luck!

Is this guy the same guy you lease the land from? If not, I'd go and talk to the guy who owns the land and explain the situation. If it is the lease owner I'd be very blunt with him. He made a contract with you. In exchange for money you get to hunt, and there is a law on the books that makes it illegal to interfere with a person's hunting. This situation may just qualify under that. Would be worth checking into it.
I'd get me a different lease next year. Just my ten cents worth.
