I decided on the way out the door to do a little experiment. I hope to back up my findings with trail cam pics as well as cell phone pics and this play by play account. It's 4:27 and I just sat down in my chair. My chair has been laying in the dirt since last year when I built this brush blind. I'm totally exposed to my left and my right and very sparsely covered by last year's dead cedar onthe front and back. I've just trimmed up a bush 5 yards from the feeder. I peed just under the feeder (trail cam will document this occurence) and I'm sitting 60 yards from it wearing a red polo shirt buttoned to the third button, a white undershirt, faded blue jeans, and a navy blue cap. My goal is to do everything wrong and see what happens. I will be dipping snuff and spitting all around me. I will fart if I feel the need and I'm sure I'll be sneazing up a storm as well. It is now 4:35 and I've just reset the feed time to 4:45. Here goes...

My theory is that all the bs that we hunters spend money on is 99% bogus and absolutely ridiculous. The feeder has not been hit very hard the last two weeks due to a tremendous crop of acorns and a nice stand of wheat. The wheat field is to my naked right side and behind me.

I like your idea. I got a new trick I used this morning. Watch porn on my I-phone and turn up the sound loud. The bucks came running in when they heard all the sounds of joy. Good porn = good bucks. I can't belive it worked.

5:05 spike 50 yards walking right to me downwind

Spike walked 25 yards behind me and directly down wind. Cover scent used...degree antiperspirant...get the "sport scent"

Oh...and Grizzly snuff.

5:15 doe and fawn in wheat. 150 yards

How many days will you do this to get consistent results?

I just heard a sound to my left like I've never heard before. Sounded like a weak bleat with the wind knocked out of it...weird

Either a hunter at your left trying his new call, or a bleat trying to tell you a little more degree next time.

If it's a hunter he's poaching...if it's a bleat that critter's got his goozle in a vice!

5:36 Nothing at the feeder still two does and a fawn in wheat. Spike has moved on.

5:52 light is fading fast. Clouds are pink and orange. 7or8 dove just came screaming over headed for roost. Just heard a gunshot.

Second gun shot...someone sucks at this...THIRD!

I been peeing at my feeder for 25+ years, it works.
