In my money spot and our neighbors decide opening morning is the time to clear brush and plow a field for food plot! So much racket going on thinking about leaving. Crap!!!! Oh yaeh, I'm on a little 40 acre spot so I can't get away from the commotion. Sucks

Saw a couple of does, but nature called at 7 this morning and I ran to the house. Barely made it.

Damn no shots in east Texas!!! Man the rabbits, possums, and crows must not be moving either!

My 28 year drought of never killing a whitetail continues as of this morning. Back to the ducks for me!

LMAO, it is only about a 5 minute walk to the house, but that was a long 5 minutes this morning.

Well, my sister and I took out a couple spikes this morning. My sister shot hers at about 75 yards but made a bad shot. She hit him just in front of his hind quarters. He ran about 150 yards and laid down. Then the fog rolled in so we couldn't see him anymore. About 30 minutes later I see a spike and he is on the move. I tried grunting at him but he would not stop. Finally at about 200 yards he stopped long enough and I dropped him. When we walked up on my spike my sisters was laying about 10 yards from mine. A few high fives and a few pictures later we had our deer in the truck.

If you keep your hair short and your mouth shut, things tend to run a lot smoother.

I hunt in NE Texas & I didnt hear a shot this morning or this evening, except for my step-dad shooting a pig first thing this morning! Very odd not to hear at least 3 or 4 shots. On a side note, i did manage to take down a 4pt on my way home. Ran right into the side of my truck, I saw him jump the fence and I was talking on the phone, and knew it was coming. I told my friend "Im fixin to hit a deer" and 2 seconds later "bam". I couldn't find the deer though, maybe he made it, and he didnt really mess up the side of my truck, small dent and a couple of scratches
