Think I'll take a different approach. Since the deer seem to be attached to the acorns and not the feeder I'll start out up on the peak and spot and stalk from there. I don't seem to own any Hawaiian shirts anymore so I'll find something as sore thumbish as possible.

I've gone out before wearing my jeans, a grey hoody and a BRIGHT orange UT hat, no cover scent, no camo, no BS, just me and my bow and been surrounded by deer some within 8 yards.

I will wear camo for the fun of it, but I don't use cover scents or scent killer sprays or special deodorants or laundry detergent...

Cody always makes it interesting. I enjoy the hell out of this guy. Keep us posted. I to think we spend money on some stupid thing that we think will help us kill a monster. If never used cover scent and I dip and my old man smokes and we see crap loads of deer. And this might me a little gross but I used one of my wifes used tampons once and it works. No BS.

Headed out. I ve changed my mind about the spot and stalk. I got poor results last night simply because the feeder was dead. I've been having more deer there in the mornings so I'll si it again in similar getup to get a verified response. Here we go...

I just remembered that I forgot to put the memory card back in the trail camera. I'll be doing that momentarily.

I'm wearing a blue gingham pearl snap shirt, jeans, and a visor/spikey hair wig from Halloween. Oh, and I've switched from Grizzly snuff to Levi Garrett for todays hunt.

7:13 sun is peeking up. Odd morning...58 degrees, windy, and dry. Not a drop of dew. Had an odd looking finch of some sort land on my bipod a minute ago. He was black with white specks all down his breast.

It's the only way we did it growing up and we killed more deer than a lot of folks. Why shouldn't it work now?

I dont dought it one bit. I can remember taking deer as a kid with a long bow. I would just walk out and hide in a cedar tree. Couldn't aford como or blinds and such but always saw plenty of game and managed to stick guite a few.

That's my theory as well. I've had very few pictures on the cam the last two weeks. 34 over the last 6 days. Most were the same two bucks each morning. A month ago, before acorns and wheat, I'd have 150 pics a week.
