What is nascar? Is that a bunch of nasty, stinky, loud cars?

I perfer to be as far way from cars as possible

This would be a good time to remind everyone headed out or headed back from the lease Sunday to stay away from FM 1171, FM 407, 114, and 35W. up

I have done the NASCAR the last five years. I will be in the stand opening day from now on. TMS is never a good race.

Not even a debate. I'll be in the field, unless I am back at camp running my head about the bruiser I've already got on ice.

My neighbor is a die hard nascar fan and he has a friend from oklahoma come in every year. They will be here tonight and every opening weekend they are packing up to go to nascar as i am packing to go to the lease. We sit out there, drink beer, and throw mud at eachother becasue they cant believe i would miss a race to go sit in the woods and the other way around. Its a blast!

I will be driving right past TMS this afternoon on my way to my lease in Graham. I hate it when they have one of those races on opening weekend of any hunting season.
I have never been to a NASCAR event, just don't see the attraction to watching a bunch of cars go around & around in a circle.

Good luck hunting and be safe out there.

Are you kidding? I am sure if you went and asked this question on the Left turn left turn left turn left turn etc etc forum you might get a different answer but c'mon. We may be immitating Nascar as we are leaving the area (DFW) today and tomorrow headed for the lease.

Nascar? Are you serious? I'd rather watch Dancing with the Stars than Nascar.

As far as hunting compared to something I care about, I've missed nearly every UT/A&M game to go hunting. Won't have to now since the beatdown will be on Thursday this year.

Worked pre-stock at the track last weekend, and turned down free ticket offer for the weekend race. Been looking forward to this weekend since early spring! Nascar last for months; deer season is too short to miss out on. I even took off an extra day from work; too distracted with thoughts of opening day!!! clap deer2

And in some cases, it may resemble bumper cars. If you see a couple of trucks with 4 wheelers and hunting geer loaded in the back crashing into each other as they go down the road passing everyone else, then you know those two may be on ajoining leases and if YOU are one of those two, you may be a redneck.

That has always been a really cool thing on opening weekend. just about every truck you pass or get passed by running down the highway is heading to the lease. Everyone just as excited as the next guy. Its funny how there is never any road rage between 2 trucks with hunting gear and 4-wheelers.
