Have I done it? Sure. But like others I appreciate the total experience of shooting over deeks.

BUT

One of the most vivid memories to this day is when after a morning hunt with my son (his first year hunting) we came up on a tank. In the very back, back was what appeared to be a large duck. He put on a stalk comando style on his hands and knees that took at least 10 minutes for him to get within shooting range. Raises up and shoots not once but two times! Duck doesn't move. Yep, you guessed it, a stranded decoy!

That story always comes up a couple times every year.
