They sure are "purdy" Never hunted one, so wouldn't know a cull from a keeper, I guess it is the same looking for typical rack on WT. I can see the short coming in the 1st photo.

Full grown Axis with no defects can push up to 300# and antlers lengths normally range 26"-34". Some go above that to as mush as 40".

Good stuff. I love an axis hide thrown over the couch. And some backstrap on the grill in even better.

Thanks, I have seen a few good ones posted by some of the fellas here, sure a good looking animal. Didn't realize they got that big, just supposed they where WT size.

I have only hunted axis a couple times. Once serious with Mulie Mike around Sonora. Like most critters they are addictive.....
