I need to have two rifles fitted with grind to fit recoil pads. I've tried the pre-fit, but wanted something that fits/looks better. I've also considered doing it myself, but decide to leave it to a professional. Anyone have a recommendation for a gunsmith north of the Dallas? I live in Bonham, but and don't mind driving to get the job done right.

Thanks in advance,

Kris

I did two. Easy enough with a palm sander and lots of masking tape. Mine came out perfectly. Go slow be careful wrap it up in several layers of tape. Keep wrapping as it gets sanded.

Some years back I bought one of these from Harbor Freight to do just 1 recoil pad install. I have done a dozen or more with it since. I even bought a "pad-jig" but later ebayed it away as not needed. With a coupon you can still get the HF sander for $40. All in all, cheaper than 1 gunsmith install.
