I need to have two rifles fitted with grind to fit recoil pads. I've tried the pre-fit, but wanted something that fits/looks better. I've also considered doing it myself, but decide to leave it to a professional. Anyone have a recommendation for a gunsmith north of the Dallas? I live in Bonham, but and don't mind driving to get the job done right.
Thanks in advance,
Kris

I did two. Easy enough with a palm sander and lots of masking tape. Mine came out perfectly. Go slow be careful wrap it up in several layers of tape. Keep wrapping as it gets sanded.
Cast I have a short attention spa

Some years back I bought one of these from Harbor Freight to do just 1 recoil pad install. I have done a dozen or more with it since. I even bought a "pad-jig" but later ebayed it away as not needed. With a coupon you can still get the HF sander for $40. All in all, cheaper than 1 gunsmith install. FWIW
The North has double last names. The South has double first names.
