If anyone hasn’t seen it, when a fire ant mound is flooded, they make a floating island of ants. All the ones on the bottom are dead and the rest sit on top until they reach land. I found one of them in my pond and decided everyone should swim complements of my SBR 10/22. This was very satisfying to do.

That’ll do it! Growing up we had a lake that really fluctuated in water level. Everytime it rained we’d have these huge floating ant mounds everywhere. Lots were the size of a basketball. I never shot them but spent hours stirring them with a stick.

I remember quite sometime back, they attributed the death of a lot of the trout released into the Brazos river from eating Fire Ants.

Good pics up Die you little bastages, die.

22s are fun but I really like the shotgun approach especially on those close in.
