The wife is in NYC with the daughters and a grandkid or two. I elected to not go. Been there many times, saw it all, and no need to see it again. I just called the wife to tell her that the little cat puked on her white comforter. I got instructions on how best to handle it. She was just walking out of the Plaza Hotel, where they had tea (High Tea, I guess). She said they got tea and scones, for $120 per person. Well, that settles it. I’m off to Waco tomorrow to buy a pistol at Cabelas.

They’re having High tea and I’m dealing with cat puke. Geeeeez!

Why does it feel like your wife is your mother when you know you're going to get scolded for doing something without consulting with her first? bang

Ya got a point there.

I wonder what the final tab is for that trip to NYC. I will ask, but don’t really care what it cost (within reason). Maybe I won’t ask…

That’s why I didn’t go with the wife and kids. And the subway riding granddaughter I got the knife for hasn’t had to stick anyone. I don’t even know if she carries it. She’s in film school at Pace University and having a wonderful time. She’s the reason the women went up there, so they said, but I know for a fact that they are in Sak’s right now. That is not on the Pace campus.

The dang gun shop in town is closed, or I’d be shopping too.

That story is hilarious!! You are a luck man not having to go.

We went to the US Open tennis tournament every Labor Day weekend for several years and really enjoyed it. All we did was watch tennis all day and eat and drink at night. Thats been 30 years ago. Im not sure what everybody else goes there for.

At some point in life its time to quit chasing the pot of gold and just enjoy the rainbow. FR

I used to go there for work. The company had an office on 5th Avenue. We did the cocktail party circuit back then. I saw all the museums, ate in all the right places, drank peppered Stoly at the Russian Tea Room (due to an incinerated anus from that, I don’t recommend it), stayed in the fancy hotels, ate at the Windows of the World, and pretty much did it all. It was fun, I was relatively young, and NYC was a better place back then. Today I have zero interest in going back there, so I waved bye bye at the wife when she went.

I think I do miss NYC of the 80’s and 90’s, or maybe I just miss my young party animal years, or being a young party animal.
