I don’t know how y’all sleep so long. I woke up in so much pain. I usually average 5-6 hours of sleep a day. Not sure what caught up to me, but man I feel groggy and way behind for the day already.

Wife wasn’t pleased either, apparently she tried to wake me up at 8am and I was dead to the world.

Yeah, if for some reason I get over 8 hours, which I avg in the area of 7, I feel way more tired as if I only slept a couple.

Sounds like you are sleep deprived if you’re only getting 5-6 hours on the regular. Read up on what Matthew Walker says about sleep and the physiological side effects of what happens we average less than 7 hours.. it’s pretty terrifying.

I just read the description of Walker's book. I wonder if this sleep genius has Tinnitus?

Handle any "stuff" on the job?

Your body probably needed the time, that's when repair goes on. Drink a gal of coffee and man bruh grin

Can get worse as you get older too, so there something to look forward to.

Nah. First night back on the streets was uneventful. Saturday night I put a hurting in the liver, maybe it was talking to me last night

Talk with a psychiatrist and the first thing they will ask is for you to tell them about your sleep and your dreams.

I do not get more than 4 hours at a time without a sleep aid.

It does not matter how long I work, how tired I am, or alcohol.

13 hours would never happen with me.

My longest recently was 10 hours, after taking my usual Lunesta and neck pain pill, then adding an allergy pill. Felt groggy upon waking.

Well if you stopped dreaming about pocket pickles you would actually get some rest, which you need.

Love ya Wade.

Did you actually sleep that entire time, or were you just in bed for that long?

100% sleep. I don’t lay in bed unless it’s to sleep. Never understood people that read books in bed, watch TV, or whatever. Go to bed and go to sleep.

10/4. Maybe you were just catching up. That’s what it sounds like to me, anyway.

I been telling Wade he's sleep deprived for years.

I'm just glad the body didn't take over while he was driving. I lost a cousin that way. Sober as could be, and he fell asleep at the wheel.

My brother used to fall asleep in full daylight at a stop light. Found out that it was severe Apnea, so a CPAP solved it.

Working deep nights for years ruined my sleeping pattern permanently. I normally go to bed now around 9:00 PM and get up around 2:00 AM. I might catch a quick nap before work but usually not.

I’ve been on some variation of nights for 18 years, on the weekend I have no issue changing my sleep schedule to match the family’s schedule. Just programmed myself to do that from the start and never stopped.

Last week I came back from my busiest conference of the year. Late nights and early mornings… I got home Friday afternoon at around 2:30P. Told the wife I was gonna just nap on the couch for a few…no joke, I slept until almost 10A Saturday morning

Since football in High School I have been waking up at 5am. Does not matter what time I go to bed. If it is before 10pm I will wake up earlier than 5. It's just programmed in my body I guess. I have a CPAP and don't fall asleep during the day. If I get 7 hours I am good to go.
