Dont know if its just around here, but dang like invasion of the flies. I understand at the ranch where I take care of the cows, but just as bad at my house. Anybody else?

Yes, we had a bazillion flies all of a sudden. No idea why. The wife went John Wick with the Bug-A-Salt gun. Bug parts and salt all over the house. But no flies now.

Luling and Gonzales in town had a ton as well this year, but there are a lot of cattle ranches out there.

We have been swarmed by southern paper wasp at the deer lease for the last couple months. 1000’s at a time.

We’re covered up in them like I’ve never seen before, I bet I have at least a hundred in my truck right now from leaving the windows down earlier today. I don’t have any clue as to why but their very annoying..

Surprisingly no flies around here presently.

With these cold mornings they flock to anything that warms up the fastest. Cars, windows and garage doors facing the sun seem to be the hot spot around these parts.

We had a new front door installed the day after thanksgiving . It was open for a long time, a butt load of flies came in the house ,
we are still swatting them ,

In Williamson county flies are thick as I have ever seen, for this time of year anyhow.

Just wait until you see what else they brought with them.

If that’s the case the animals should start pairing up because the fly issue has been going on for more than a month here.

Up here we had none all summer it seems ... likely due to the drought. Around the beginning of November they got really bad all of a sudden. Guessing it was finally getting some rain combined with a lack of heavy freeze so far.

Lots more flies than normal this year.

I had to come back to this to comment on the bench. I like it. Is it concrete?

We get an influx of flies in Fall right before they go away for winter. No flies so to speak until Spring for us right now.

Yes, Concrete with a flex seal coating on drill pipe legs. The center pipe is for a pool umbrella.

Maybe they are gathering for their winter migration.
